Important Update: 6-Month Grace Period for Mandatory E-Invoicing in Malaysia! Starting from August 1, 2024, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) is offering a 6-month grace period to help businesses transition to the new e-invoicing system smoothly. Key highlights include: ✔Consolidated E-Invoices: All activities and industries can issue consolidated e-invoices, including self-billed ones, with flexible transaction descriptions. ✔Penalty Exemption: No penalties for non-compliance if consolidated e-invoicing requirements are met. ✔Early Adoption Incentives: Reduced capital allowance claim period for ICT equipment and software packages from 3 years to 2 years for the 2024-2025 assessment years. In Malaysia’s Budget 2024 announcement, the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia has announced that it is mandatory for all taxpayers to enforce e-invoice. What does this mean exactly?
