There's a risk for severe weather today in The Wiregrass as a storm system approaches our area from the west. The main hazards are damaging winds up to 60 mph and a weak, brief isolated tornado or two. The general timing is between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. After that, we get a temporary cooldown on Saturday, but above-average temperatures are likely to stay for at least the next 10 days, thanks to persistent upper-level ridging.
