The hardest thing I have ever done in my career was... Deciding that I wanted to be a coach and work with business owners one-on-one. I resisted doing this for years because I allowed the idea to terrify me. I was a successful keynote speaker; I loved and excelled at it. I'd convince myself to stay focused on that and that alone: fill your schedule, write your blogs and posts, and keep learning. The thing is, this wasn't a horrible plan. 📍But then someone who had seen me speak would call in and talk to me, and of course, I'd help them. And I didn't just help them; I generously helped them. I'd spend an hour or more with them and send them my speaking notes and anything else I had that would help, but never an invoice. I enjoyed it. I have saved more business owners from bad decisions than you would believe. I have counseled more people on what to do with their careers, problems, or ideas than I can remember a couple a week for 30 years. I'm too lazy to do the math. The idea of being a coach terrified me because it's emotional work. 📍I knew I'd have to be very organized, committed to bringing my best, willing to use new technology, and, most importantly, experience feeling like an amateur again. But I couldn't deny that the calls were a lot of fun. I loved helping people see the light, and having been there before, I knew that I'd only feel unsure for a little while. I knew that I could get better. I started slowly, working with one person, then two people, then three people, just enough to learn, not enough to get burned. Working with only a handful of clients made it much easier to deliver excellent service and create an even better experience. ✨ There were bumps along the way, but because I worked with so few clients, they were easy to fix. You're not making the income you desire, because you speak to everyone that you *COULD* help. You're speaking at your dream clients, instead of to them in a way that *lands* for them (shift the language in a way they would explain to you what they go through). Yesterday I was on a private coaching call & here's what we did: 1️⃣ We got clear on who she's speaking at & we shifted her messaging from *generic* to laser-focused language of her ideal dream clients. I applied my Micro-Celebrity Framework to tweak micro-details, so the ideal client would feel called to reach out. 2️⃣ We got clear on her ideal business model (her ideal average day, work hours, way of delivery to bring in structure) The first step before building out her offer suite, was to get clear HOW she wanted to experience her work inside her coaching containers. We shifted her current beliefs around her coaching containers & service. We digged into what she felt she *needed* to do to make a certain income. We shifted them. 👉🏻 So we could match the messaging, offer suite & systems around her ideal lifestyle. She is a genius in what she does. But her messaging was not *activating her ideal clients* to buy. So we specifically digged into what her clients wanted and how to position her offer as the solution. So she can deliver the offer in a unique way that no one else in the industry is doing. This same process helped another client of mine to 5x her income in 1 month of VIP Intensive with me.
