At last week's inaugural TechFW Innovators Forum, we announced a new entrepreneur funding source: Cowtown Seed. This pre-seed funding group from a group of Cowtown Angels fills a gap in our local investment landscape by supporting early-stage startups right at the beginning of their journey. Selected startups will receive early-stage funding and gain access to TechFW's ThinkLab program. This program provides founders with educational resources and hands-on mentorship to equip startups with the knowledge and skills needed to validate their ideas, develop market strategies, and build a solid foundation for growth. Bentley’s First Incubator Program Phase One Starts This Friday On Sept 20! Are you passionate about entrepreneurship? The Bentley E-Hub Incubator Program is the perfect opportunity to turn your ideas into reality. Designed to support student teams, this year-long, cohort-based program provides the resources, mentorship, and seed funding necessary to develop and refine high-potential startup ventures. Pitch Presentation: • Date: Friday, September 20, 2024 • Time: Starts at 5:30 PM  • Location: LaCava 325AB • Results Announced: September 23, 2024 The program is open to the entire Bentley community (undergrad, grad, recent alumni less than 5 years out, faculty & staff). All you need is an innovative idea with potential. Selected teams will receive $1,000 in seed funding to help bring their ideas to life. Judges: • James D. Burnham • Joe Caprio • Kimberly Sheehy • Julie O'Brien We will have 29 teams presenting.  • 11 teams in the “Innovative” category. • 5 teams in the category “Creative Industries”. • 7 teams in the category “Lifestyle/Small Business”. • 1 team in the “Family business diversification” category. • 5 teams in the category called “Something else entirely.” The teams are made up of undergraduate / graduate / a mix of undergraduate and graduate students. Some teams also have members from other universities such as Babson and Cornell. And some even have friends and family members as their team members. There are also some teams with recent alumni.
