Hey everyone, I am currently working on an automation project and would like to share some information: when dealing with irrigation systems, the two key factors to take into consideration is the power supply and PSI of the system. An electric ball valve on paper has the peramiters to handle a typical irrigation system, however I have a hypothesis a motorized diaphragm valve would be better as you can add a second tract into the irrigation system, allowing for a consistent flow and mix of liquid fertilizer into the irrigation system without worries of cross contamination behind the valve. I will be buying some equipment and waiting for shipping, once I receive the parts, I may make a post explaining the way I went about connecting a soil sensor, diaphragm valve, compressor, and irrigation system wirelessly and how I went about writing the program and what issues I had if others would like to read about it.
