The conference was convened by the Pennsylvania Intergenerational Network. For more information about intergenerational strategies, focus your search on the Network, the intergenerational program at Pennsylvania State University, and the intergenerational resource for virtually all things intergenerational, Generations United (www.gu.org).

Science for Peace: A Global Commitment. It’s International Week of Science and Peace, a time to recognize the vital role of science in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development. Science has the power to transcend borders, unite cultures, and address global challenges. Did you know that many renowned scientists have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of peace and understanding? Figures like Albert Einstein and Marie Curie used their knowledge and influence to advocate for peace and social justice. As L&D professionals, we can contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable future by promoting scientific literacy and critical thinking. By equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to solve complex problems, we can empower them to make informed decisions and contribute to a better world. Let's celebrate the International Week of Science and Peace by embracing the power of science to address global challenges and promote peace and understanding. #ISA Conference Panel: "Community of Relations under Threat: Understanding Societal Resilience in Theory and Practice Across the Post-Soviet Space" If you are attending the International Studies Association (ISA) conference, feel free to join us for a panel discussion titled "Community of Relations under Threat: Understanding Societal Resilience in Theory and Practice Across the Post-Soviet Space." This session is scheduled for Saturday, 6th April, from 1:45 to 3:30 PM in Powell 2, Parc 55 San Francisco. In an era where resilience might seem a ubiquitous term, its profound implications become clear amidst the trials of war and natural disasters. It is within such contexts that resilience transcends to embody #selforganisation in navigating #uncertainty, aiming not just to endure but to transform towards a safer and more dignified existence. This nuanced understanding of resilience has been starkly evident in recent events across the #PostSoviet space, marked by the #Belarus uprising of 2020+, grassroots movements across #CentralAsia and the #Caucasus, and the ongoing conflict in #Ukraine. The panel will be chaired by Elena Korosteleva, who will also contribute as a discussant, alongside with other presenters James "Pigeon" Fielder, Ph.D., Tatsiana Chulitskaya, Alesia Rudnik and myself. #Resilience #civilsociety #protests #communities #state #socialcapital #civilengagement #empowerment #people #Europe #refugees #migration #socialmovement
