Probably the one factor we can all agree on, is that we’ll be better and feel better with more compassion in our lives. It is a wonder that both as a receiver and giver, this exquisite human expression helps us shift (when we receive) and grow (when we share). I invite you to attend the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 – each year on 𝟐𝟏 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 the Australian Compassion Council holds a day of events to provide a meaningful opportunity for Australians to participate in learning about and practicing compassion, and this year our National Day theme is Deep Connection. The Day starts at 8am with a launch event that will include short presentations from: • Global Charter CEO, Marilyn Turkovich on the Charter’s involvement in the 19th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates • Australian Charter Ambassador, Hugh Mackay on Deep Connection in Community • Author Dr Mark Crosweller on Compassion for Australia’s Environmental Disasters • Ballarat School Students reading their wishes for a Compassionate Community • Bishop Phillip Huggins providing an experiential deep connection practice Then sessions throughout the day will feature presentations on a wide array of aspects of Deep Connection including as they apply to: 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 - 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 – 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 – 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 - 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 – 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 - please read more in the attached booklet. FULLY FUNDED TO CZECH REPUBLIC: Apply for this Civil Society Forum Europe Lab for activists and young professionals in Europe The Civil Society Group asks young people from Europe, including the EU, EEA, Eastern Partnership Countries, Russia, and the Balkans, who are in their twenties and thirties, to join the 9th Europe Lab in Jáchymov, Czechia. Europe Lab is a program where young people from different places meet and work together to understand and solve problems in European society. This year, the theme is "Changing Times in Europe." There are three workshops: 1. Learning about past hurts in European communities 2. How climate change affects people and how to help 3. Helping people who have to leave their homes and move to new places in Europe This is a fully funded program. #ISA Conference Panel: "Community of Relations under Threat: Understanding Societal Resilience in Theory and Practice Across the Post-Soviet Space" If you are attending the International Studies Association (ISA) conference, feel free to join us for a panel discussion titled "Community of Relations under Threat: Understanding Societal Resilience in Theory and Practice Across the Post-Soviet Space." In an era where resilience might seem a ubiquitous term, its profound implications become clear amidst the trials of war and natural disasters.
