Katie Stebbins, Ellen Brown, and I have just released the first two episodes of our new podcast series, focused on the "Food is Health" opportunity. Integrating the views of Agriculture, Food, and Health. This podcast is designed to bridge the gaps across the entire value chain. Whether you're at Nestlé, involved in ingredient sourcing, working on the farm, or focused on metabolic health, you'll gain insights into how different sectors collaborate to make nutrition more affordable, improve health outcomes, boost farmer profitability, and reduce costs. GLP-1s are disrupting healthcare by changing diets, which means CPG companies need to reformulate their products. Ingredient suppliers now require crops with higher nutrient density, produced at scale and lower costs. Meanwhile, farmers are accelerating the transition to regenerative farming to meet these demands. Our podcast will introduce you to the people leading these changes and driving innovation across the food system. We're releasing episodes every other week, each one highlighting actionable steps toward creating a food system that benefits everyone—from the ground up. The first two episodes are live now, with more on the way. We'd love your feedback—how can we make this podcast even more valuable for those who see the potential in the "Food is Health" movement and want to drive real change? Amazing! I am going to listen today. Let me know if you want someone who has a 5-year best practice connecting small farmers to local nonprofits who provide social/health services.
Keep informing humanity in many ways Carter, congratulations on your continued value to a healthy society and mindset! My mom turned an 100, an incredibly healthy journey. Her priimary doctor prescribed her a weight reduction drug at 99 yo. We wanted to hang him! My dad, also healthy most of his life, died in the hospital at 83, after a successful heart surgery from bacteria, sepsis, etc 3 months in hospiital. My family has been in food, restaurant etc for several generatiions. My siblings all have had health issues, mostly tied to stress produced bad eating habits. The environmental issues tied to many of my professional friends has also caused problems in their life journey. More of our chiildren in communities have issues, more bandaids are created to mask issues with our reactive healthcare system and food distribution models. Communities in the USA export cash quicker then ever in history. Food is Medicine is a crucial need, comprehensive change has to happen one community at a time. Food is Health and Food is Death. A new system of wholistic, operational excellence, preventative, cooperative is needed on this marathon of changes. Godspeed
I am so excited to be a part of this journey with two of my favorite humans!!!
Love this. I’d love to join the conversation.
As Katie Stebbins said - Feel so grateful to be part of this movement to make a difference

3moI enjoyed listening and appreciate the insights this forum will provide as these efforts have historically been siloed and never looked at holistically. I think an interesting topic to touch on would be the importance of identity preserved supply chains around regeneratively grown grains/protein/produce. Today, most CPGs have large goals to “source sustainably,” but they are satisfied with the “supply shed” approach in mass balance supply chains. We must shed light on the large missed opportunities that exist when operating this way and how IP supply chains are actually cost effective and not cost prohibitive.
