I'm beginning to wonder how recruiters/hiring managers would react if all prospective employees answered questions like too many job adverts out in the current market. "Tell us more about your experience" "Oh it's competitive, like your salary" "What are your salary expectations?" "That's dependant on the budget for the role" Too many job adverts these days list their Employee Assistance Program as a "benefit" to working with them. These types of things should be standard across every employer, as a bare minimum. Invest in your people, and they will invest in you #fortherecruiters #forthehiringmanagers

According to an HR source (SHRM), the cost of a bad hire can be as much as five times the employee’s annual salary. People question how that’s possible. Below is a list of events that can occur between recruiting the candidate, and having them start with the company until they are dismissed. 💵 Hiring expenses (travel, hotels, and meals) 💵 Agency placement fees 💵 Background and drug testing 💵 Training & orientation costs 💵 Travel expenses to building relationships and make introductions 💵 Base salary and insurance expenses Then……………. 💵 Unemployment/Severance pay 💵 Potential litigation expenses 💵 Career transition services 💵 Possible relocation costs (again) Then you must repeat the entire hiring process, costing you money and time. Today companies are pretty careful about hiring and still want to manage their expenses carefully. But they will get to a point where their business is performing favorably and they will be forced to hire to serve customers effectively. Having a well-planned recruitment strategy is critical when it comes to adding talent, regardless if it’s a single game changer or an entire team.
