Dr. Singh (& PM Narsimha Rao)'s visionary steps to open up India's economy, created a significant interest amongst global pharma for Indian markets and this became an indirect (but sure-shot) push to conduct more clinical trials in India. RIP Dr. Singh, thank you for those initial steps and the directions you chose. If India has a position of meaning, in the global pharma/CRO industry today; we wouldn't have been here without those first steps. We have miles to go & journeys to make.
