Ishtiaq Rahman’s Post

It's Monday and I would pay to watch Humane's All-hands-on-deck meeting this morning. They need bold decisions to save the company. Here's what I would tell the team if I were running the meeting: 1. The product needs to cost <$300. Make it happen or we die. 2. The product should not require a subscription to use it. That means local LLM, Local ASR, and local TTS. It's possible, try harder. 3. Customers should be able to connect their smartphone with it like a smartwatch. No additional SIM card should be required to use it. 4. Charge a subscription fee (<$10/mo) for premium features. Not sure what they are at the moment. 5. Focus on proactive features over features requiring user initiation (e.g. I see you're at Central Park, there's a free concert going on, wanna check it out?"). 6. The product should not require an additional SIM card to use it. Use Bluetooth to connect to an existing smartphone sim card. 7. Build features for activity: workout, cycling, etc. 8. Build a smartphone app for task/chat/activity history and settings. 9. Build features that connect AI pins with existing devices through push notifications, emails, and text messages proactively. (E.g. here are all the places you visited today). 10. Breathe and take a couple of days off to reflect on things. This too shall pass. Good luck. #AI #AIPin

Good takes. This product, as is, was always going nowhere.
