Does backpacking hurt your spine? False. Seeing the backs of children decidedly bent under the weight of books, instinctively the doubt that it could harm the back crosses our minds. The fact is that the scientific studies that have been done on this topic have not found direct correlations between the typical use of the backpack and back pain. It seems that, even if we are talking about loads of several kilos, these burdens are not really dangerous because they are generally carried for decidedly limited periods of time. #backpack #school #children #adolescent #teenager #backpain #scoliosis #idiopathiscoliosis #adolescentidiopathicscoliosis #spinalpathology #spine #spinehealth #health #healthcare

This is a critical topic for parents and educators to consider. Limiting screen time for young children is essential, as research shows that excessive exposure can indeed lead to overstimulation and disruptions in sleep and stress levels. It’s important to focus on interactive and physical activities that support cognitive and social development during these formative years. Encouraging activities like reading, outdoor play, and hands-on learning can provide a healthy balance. #ChildDevelopment #HealthyHabits #ExpertAdvice #screentime #MentalHealth
TECHIE CHILD SYNDROME. Pediatric doctors recommend no screen time before 2 years of age and no more than an hour a day between 2 and 5 years of age. Too much screen time is linked to overstimulation of the nervous system, increased levels of stress hormones, risruption to circadian rhythms and sleep. #education #training #coaching

When did you first learn about periods? Who taught you about periods? What did you think when you first got your period? I can't remember when I first started learning about periods but I do know that it was through the Fully Alive program at my school. The problem is that I attended school in the Catholic school board, so that's about all I need to say about that. I do remember learning about reproductive systems and the functioning of it (aka periods and menstrual cycles) when I was quite young. HOWEVER, I don't actually remember it clicking in my head what periods ACTUALLY were until I got mine when I was 12. I remember I was having dinner with my family and I thought that I had peed myself. So I sheepishly went upstairs to the bathroom to find some blood on my underwear. I promptly yelled down for my mom, who came upstairs to see what all of the commotion was. I thought I was dying and she told me that it was just my period, handed me a pad with some super quick instructions on how to use it and went back downstairs where I overheard her tell the rest of my family that I got my period. I was MORTIFIED. I then remember having the whole period conversation with my older cousin who was a wise and all-knowing 16 year old. I also distinctly remember attending a health class where they showed a video of a woman demonstrating how to use "sanitary products". I specifically remember them showing a young woman demonstrating how to use said products EXCEPT instead of the typical pads of the 90s, it was a sanitary belt. If you've never heard of that, you should Google it. Looking back, what in the world was going on in this class!?!?! No wonder most of us were so incredibly unprepared when we got our periods!! 👇 How did you learn about periods? #menstrualcycles #menstrualhealthmatters #menstrualawareness #5thvitalsign #periodhealth #periodpositive

The first 1,000 days of a child's life, from conception to their second birthday, are critical for setting the foundation for their future health and development. During this period, the brain grows rapidly, forming millions of neural connections that influence cognitive abilities, emotional regulation, and social skills. Proper nutrition and healthcare are essential, as deficiencies can lead to long-term health issues and stunted growth. Additionally, loving interactions and a stimulating environment foster secure attachment and developmental milestones. Investing in these early days yields lifelong benefits, promoting better educational outcomes, reduced chronic health conditions, and overall well-being. #EarlyYears #ChildDevelopment #NutritionMatters
