❓ Do you partner with local businesses? ✍ A study published in the Journal of Business Ethics found that partnerships between nonprofits and businesses led to a 50% ⬆ increase in donations compared to standalone efforts. ⚡ Research indicates that local businesses supporting community initiatives can increase local charitable contributions by up to 30%, highlighting the importance of community ties. We're working with local partners to bring the merry to Central Virginia on July 25 and 27. #DoingTheMostGood is as easy as 1-2-3. In 2023, Gleaners embarked on an exciting partnership with Whirlpool Corporation and Feeding America to address food insecurity in Southeast Michigan communities. Through the Feel Good Fridge Program, we’re helping improve access to healthy food options by increasing storage capacity for fresh and perishable items. Currently, more than 68 of our agency partners have received donated, refurbished residential fridges and chest freezers through the program—more than 214 units supporting our neighbors in need! As an organization deeply rooted in the communities we serve, we nominated these food banks for their unwavering dedication to ensuring residents have access to nutritious meals. Eimer Stahl’s three offices once again came together for the firm’s annual holiday food bank fundraiser, supporting three essential organizations: Greater Chicago Food Depository, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin, and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. Our contributions help to provide meaningful support to these organizations that play a critical role in the fight against hunger.   - Greater Chicago Food Depository provided 101 million meals last year to those in need across Chicago and Cook County, where one in five households is experiencing inadequate food. - Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin distributes more than 20 million pounds of food annually, supporting the more than 600,000 people in Wisconsin experiencing hunger. - Second Harvest of Silicon Valley serves as a vital lifeline, providing meals to 500,000 people every month.   We’re honored to support the vital work they do in the communities where we live and work.
