A few questions: * what is the cost * what is the size of the target group * what is BSI’s market penetration * are sales monitored * does BSI have a KPI around uptake Just asking…
Are You Ready for the Next Level of 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆? 🏢🦺 The British Standard BS 8670 (currently transitioning from BS Flex 8670 v3.0:2021-04) is revolutionising the principles and common language for competence in the building industry. This standard establishes a comprehensive framework for the key dutyholder roles of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor under the Building Safety Act. Additionally, it serves as a template for future competence standards. While Building Safety Managers are no longer duty holders, the Accountable Person now has critical responsibilities: Preventing building safety risks, such as fire spread and structural failure. Reducing the impact of incidents when they occur. To fulfil these duties effectively, building safety management with appropriate competence is essential. PAS 8673:2022 is the go-to resource to ensure those in these roles possess the necessary skills. Developed collaboratively with the CSG, BSI Flex 8670 v3.0:2021-04 and the BSI PAS documents—PAS 8671:2022 for Principal Designer, PAS 8672:2022 for Principal Contractor, and PAS 8673:2022 for residential building safety management—are instrumental in advancing industry competence. This initiative was initially driven by an additional working group for Overarching Competence before being integrated into the BSI. These documents highlight the industry's dedication to enhancing competence across design, contractor, owner, and occupier accountable roles. As professionals in the construction and industrial sectors, adhering to standards is paramount for safety and quality assurance. One of the key standards that provides comprehensive guidance on the design, construction, and installation of fixed platforms, walkways, stairways, and ladders is AS 1657. This standard is invaluable from fabrication to installation, ensuring that every step is covered with meticulous detail. Notably, it offers great guidance on grating size, as illustrated in the snapshot below: Incorporating AS 1657 in our projects not only aligns us with best practices but also enhances the safety and reliability of our installations. Let's continue to uphold these standards and contribute to safer work environments. #SafetyStandards #ConstructionSafety #AS1657 #Compliance #Engineering

We believe that true compliance goes beyond just having a certificate—it’s about transparency and genuine accountability. In an industry rife with confusion, misinformation and mistrust, we’re here to set the record straight. 🛡️ Commitment to Valid Certifications: While many claim to meet standards, we back it up with rigorous testing and REAL certifications. 📜 Don’t Be Misled: Just because a product comes with a shiny certificate doesn’t mean it’s compliant. Often, these documents are generic and lack context regarding specific compliance. 💡 Transparency is Key: We pride ourselves on our commitment to transparency. Our clients deserve to know exactly what’s behind the products they’re using. When it comes to fire safety, don’t settle for mediocre compliance. Choose Smoke Control, because in our world, transparency is non-negotiable 👇 https://lnkd.in/gCuz6jdS #SmokeControl #Compliance #BuildingCode #SafetySolutions #SafetyStandards #FireSafety #Architect #FireEngineer #FireProtection #BuildingSafety #ArchitecturalSafety #FireCompliance #ConstructionStandards #SmokeManagement #FireCodes #BuildingRegulations #ComplianceMatters #SafetyCompliance #RegulatoryCompliance #ComplianceCertificate #Regulation #CertificateOfCompliance #ConstructionCompliance #BuildingCodeCompliance

Just a couple of questions to consider: Do you understand the legal requirements of the Building Regulations 2010, Part 2A, and the Building Regulations 2023, Part 11F? Are you fulfilling your mandatory duties under the regulations? Do you know it is a criminal offence not to? Can you evidence the training competency of your employees and supply chain for the duration they are on all of your contracts, including any adjustments, globally? Are you committed to supporting clients, principal designers, principal contractors, contractors, and individuals to mitigate as many risks of non-compliance throughout the supply chain?.

Difference between SOR and NCR In construction projects, SORs and NCRs play a crucial role in addressing deviations from specifications or drawings. Consultants utilize either an SOR or an NCR based on the nature of the damage encountered. When a deviation occurs that can be managed, consultants issue an SOR, while uncontrollable damage leads to an NCR. To illustrate this difference, consider the scenario of two rooms, A and B, each designated for specific tiles. If the masons mistakenly install the wrong tile in a room, resulting in uncontrollable damage, an NCR is issued. On the other hand, if timely action can rectify the situation where wrong tiles are consistently installed, consultants issue an SOR. Understanding these distinctions is key to effectively managing construction deviations. #ConstructionManagement #QualityControl #SOR #NCR
