People don't realize that generative AI has the power to wipe out entire professions in the film industry. I see GenAI book-to-movie and book-to-VR immersive storytelling experiences coming in a few years. You'll need a director and a screenwriter to clean up the script, a few savvy GenAI specialists, a few 3D graphics and animation specialists to clean up the scene, movement, and facial expressions, and a few game engine specialists to do lighting, special effects, and set up the camera shots. That's it. Really great article on generative video! It’s essentially putting within reach of individuals the ability to rapidly create amazing footage for a huge range of applications. Generative video combined with image generation is a powerful tool - I can get a fairly deterministic result rapidly with precise image prompting on Stable Diffusion or Midjourney, followed by minimally directed video animation of those images using Runway ML (there are others). Here’s a recent example on my YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/gJQGwFsG It’s still something of a one-way workflow, though - I end up with a few hundred 4 second snippets which I have to edit in a regular video editor… but I suspect it won’t be long before we have environments which let us generate sequences and then manipulate the results with textual, image, video and VR tools to fine tune the outputs! #generativeai

Spent the weekend working on AI for a T-Rex boss using Unreal Engine. Currently building a dynamic AI system with modular states (Hunt, Idle, Attack), navigation patterns and animation blending for reactive actions like bite attacks and roars.
