⬆️ Raising the standard for environmentally responsible healthcare In September, the Geneva Sustainability Centre and Joint Commission International launched a Healthcare Sustainability Certification (HSC) scheme. The HSC provides an advanced framework of sustainability standards, integrating the GSC Sustainability Accelerator Tool to guide hospitals on their sustainability journey. It supports hospitals in reducing their carbon footprint and embedding sustainability into quality and safety processes. The next version of hospitals accreditation standards will emphasis on sustainability in every aspect of health service delivery! and healthcare organizations are required now to take action to mitigate the adverse effects of their carbon footprints on the environment.
