ISS Facility Services UK’s Post

At ISS, we’re continuing to support Movember and supporting discussions on men’s health, particularly around prostate and testicular cancer. More than 13,000 men died from prostate cancer in 2023 and the disease is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK. By contrast, the odds of survival for men with testicular cancer are good — at greater than 95% — but for some men, side effects from cancer mean their quality of life is severely compromised. Too many men are dying too young from largely preventable causes. Help is out there, and it is important to get tested. That’s why we’re raising money to fund life-saving research, and advocating for more action on improving men’s health. A few of the ISS team here are taking part in Movember and raising money and more importantly awareness. Even just talking about issues or concerns will help
