Never underestimate the power of team lunches The kinds of lunches that are spontaneous (not compulsory ), where colleagues choose to eat together, collaborate on restaurant options, and after arriving and sitting down, spend that next hour together chatting. Conversation flows easily, as they catch up with one another on the weekend that passed, how their day or week is going (sometimes good, sometimes bad), potential holidays, a new series or movie they had seen, and sometimes one needs advice or a new viewpoint that the others provide. The only time they reach for their phones is to share memes they'd seen online, holiday destinations they dream of, or a new venue they discovered on the week. These lunches are relaxed and there is often lots of laughter. It's these kinds of lunches where teams form stronger bonds, they understand each other better as individuals, and they support each other more. Afterwards, everyone pays their part of the bill, and they all head back to the office. From the outside, it may just look like a work lunch to others, but the changes are definitely there and can be seen and felt in the days and months after as the teams forms a stronger unit. There is so much value that comes from these lunches. (Picture below from igorovsyannykov on Pixabay)

Do you know what we used to do in our office on Mondays and Fridays? We've had this tradition of spoiling the team with some sweet treats. Chocolate and chips are the usual suspects. It was a fun way to kick off the week and unwind after a long one. But lately, it got me thinking… 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐲 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐬? We all know health is important, and a healthy team is a happy and productive team. That's why we decided to swap out the candy for some fresh, seasonal fruits like mangoes and peaches. Still delicious, but way better for everyone's body and mind. We even have cake celebrations twice a month to keep things fun, but small changes can make a big difference, right? So, what do you think? Are you team candy or team fruit for office treats? Let me know in the comments. P.S. Would you be more likely to grab a candy bar or a juicy peach at work? #TeamSuccess #TeamBuilding #SoftwareDevelopment #CompanyCulture #TeamCare

🌯 The best company cultures are a mix of snacks, meals, and feasts. What do I mean? If you ONLY ate snacks your whole life your nutrition would be totally out of whack. If you waited to eat unless it was a huge feast you'd be starving in between. And, while meals are more sustainable we all enjoy the occasional nice meal out. The same holds true for company culture. Having a variety of sustenance ensures the culture doesn't starve or get complacent with empty calories. Here are just a few examples of our snacks, meals, and feasts: 🍬 Snacks: Custom emojis, a "fun" channel, and a new tradition to end the week with the silly question of the week 🥗 Meals: Team meetings where topics range from culture to continuing education, happy hours, virtual hangouts, and anonymous feedback platforms 🥩 🍷 Feasts: Quarterly and annual in-person summits, conferences, dinners, awards, and the #4dayworkweek is obviously huge for us as well How do you "eat" at your organization? What do snacks, meals, and feasts look like for your team? #culture #team

🚨 PSA: Lunch isn't just a break—it's an opportunity! 🚨 Workplaces have evolved, and nowhere is the importance of in-person collaboration more evident than in creative fields. It’s harder to create something remotely, and shared meals play a key role in fostering connection and idea exchange. Just like the "family meal" tradition in restaurants, creative teams—whether in architecture firms, theaters, or studios—are gathering around the table, reminding us that we’re a community of thinkers and doers. Companies: Let’s embrace more team lunches! It’s not just about fueling up—it’s about connecting, collaborating, and building community. A shared meal is where magic happens. #TeamBuilding #Creativity #WorkCulture https://lnkd.in/eQk9p3AP

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐁𝐐 Have you ever found yourself entangled in one of those teams where everyone seems to have their own agenda? The last week of July inevitably brings the annual office BBQ. Imagine this: Alex, our resident grill master, reigns supreme. Then Olivia, the health-conscious counterpoint with her infamous salad, Ben, the vegetarian, the eternal outsider, and finally Chloe, the office gossip, always ready to stir the pot. A true recipe for catastrophe... As the day unfolds, it becomes apparent that this BBQ is more than just a gathering. Alex, armed with tongs, claims the grill. Olivia, quinoa in hand, fights for salad supremacy. Ben, the vegetarian, watches from the sidelines. Chloe, totally in her element, makes comments on everything. Then suddenly the grill topples over and the rebellious burgers land on the grass, inflaming a brief but intense debate about the correct method of burger retrieval. Meanwhile Olivia’s salad, once a symbol of health, becomes a battleground as colleagues argue over the merits of different dressings. Not to mention Ben, in a desperate attempt to be included, suggests a tofu hotdog, a culinary experiment that horrifies everyone. Well, the BBQ is turning into a disaster zone!
