INSPIRING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY EVERYONE! This year's International Women's Day, I'm excited to highlight some remarkable women on LinkedIn who have captured my admiration. These are women who wholeheartedly embrace #GenAI, recognizing the transformative potential of this revolutionary technology in addressing the causes they champion. One notable example is Dr Ijeoma Emeagi nee Agwamba, Country Secretary of the Forum For African Women Educationalists, Nigeria (FAWENg) Chapter. Dr. Emeagi boasts over 25 years of experience in ICT/Computer Science, its various technologies, and application areas like data analytics. She has explored how data analysis can significantly impact decision-making and also educates data professionals on the importance of preserving data privacy and ethics. I had the honor of meeting Dr. Ijeoma Emeagi nee Agwamba at the #InnovateAILagos2024 conference, organized by AI In Nigeria. During this summit, Dr. Emeagi initiated engaging discussions with numerous bank CEOs, leaders in the communications industry, and political figures responsible for education, focusing on the judicious application of AI technology to improve Nigeria's educational sector. In regions where traditional educational infrastructure is unfeasible due to a lack of resources—such as teachers, school buildings, and finances—GenAI developing start-ups will prove pivotal and deserve comprehensive support for their innovative role in advancing education in Nigeria. Dr. Ijeoma Emeagi nee Agwamba, I hold you in high regard for your dedication! Keep continuously reminding Nigeria's bank CEOs, telecom companies, and politicians overseeing education, about the importance of AI advancements! I strongly believe developments like #LAM models, 1-BIT LLMs, and the upcoming local, mobile compute on LPUs like those from Groq, will soon integrate into highly affordable smartphones and inexpensive AI devices, akin to rabbit inc.'s #rabbitr1, or open-source AI devices like those from Brilliant Labs. Such innovations warrant their full attention and support in your fight to provide affordable education to everyone in Nigeria, irrespective of their background or entry level. Illiteracy is no longer a barrier; OpenAI's AI solutions already can communicate in Nigeria's languages, reaching people who were previously unreachable by soon outdated educational methods. With passionate advocates like you, Dr. Emeagi, not only Nigeria but the entire continent is poised for a promising future!

International Women’s Day 2024 | How can women best support other women? With International Women’s Day just around the corner, we’re sharing thoughts and experiences from the women of Cistri. The #IWD2024 theme is “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.” It is through real investment that we can cultivate a safe environment for women to belong and reach their potential. We spoke to Ee Iyn Wong, Associate Director in our Economics & Property team, about her experience at Cistri: “As a female in a traditionally male-dominated industry, it can be difficult sometimes to speak up in certain settings. In this regard, I appreciate the ally-ship from senior colleagues (both male and female) who have not only given me valuable advice as mentors but also actively made space for me to voice my thoughts.” Ee Iyn describes her time with Cistri as “empowering, rewarding, and meaningful”. Over the coming week we will share more from our conversations and encourage an open dialogue with our people, our clients, and industry. #CountHerIn #InvestInWomen #InternationalWomensDay #InspireInclusion
