Day 29: As we conclude this month-long journey of celebrating India's EdTech landscape, let's reaffirm our commitment to innovation, accessibility, and quality education for all. Together, we can shape a brighter future for generations to come. Education is a huge market in India and globally. And we can comfortably say that the “One Stop For All” kind of marketplaces for online courses are not saturated. Now we see a new crop of Edtech that are focused on niches, like programming, specific career paths, job oriented, and passion-driven. But these niche platforms are not going to be marketplaces. Instead, they will likely start as content-driven startups who provide better quality education and later open up the supply side with moderation. By leveraging technology and investing in educational infrastructure, we can create a brighter future. Together, let's continue striving for excellence, shaping a tomorrow where every individual has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to our nation's growth. 29/29 #29daysofedtechindustry #edtech #edtechindustry #facts #didyouknow #edtechtrends #edtechinnovation #edtechs #edtechrevolution #education #innovation #accessibility #qualityeducation #

💡 Learning in Public: A Path to Growth 💡 I've been reflecting on what makes a good community, and to me, it’s one where everyone encourages each other to upskill and grow together. It’s about creating an environment where knowledge is shared openly, and we push each other to reach new heights. Yesterday, my team was pitching an idea in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH). Before pitching, I noticed that many students were trying to find out what our idea was. However, when I asked them about their ideas, they downplayed it, saying things like, "It's nothing serious, just a small idea that’s already been implemented. We’re here just for attendance or certificates." But I could tell that wasn’t the truth—they just didn’t want to share their ideas but were eager to know others'. Maybe there’s some value in keeping an idea to yourself initially, but if you’re not willing to share your own, you have no right to pry into someone else’s. This experience taught me that real community isn’t about secrecy; it’s about mutual trust and collaboration. This mindset of secrecy is common in many Tier 3 colleges and even in some Tier 2 institutions, and it’s contributing to the rising unemployment in India. When students don’t communicate or work together, they miss out on opportunities to learn and grow. This is one reason why IITians are often more successful—not just because they’re brilliant, but because they communicate openly and work together to solve problems. If this mindset changes, it could benefit everyone. Imagine the progress we could make if we all shared our knowledge and experiences more openly. Learning in public isn’t just about showcasing your journey; it’s about fostering a culture of mutual support and continuous improvement. When we share, we grow together, and that’s how real progress happens. I’m not here to give advice; these are just my thoughts, and I wanted to share them, so I chose this platform. #LearnInPublic #CommunityGrowth #Collaboration #ContinuousLearning #UpskillTogether #OpenLearning #Tier3Colleges #UnemploymentInIndia #IITSuccess

Pivot or Persevere During a session at The Circle India Incubation, Rajan Patel from Dent Education shared a powerful idea: "Fall in love with the problem, not the solution." When building something, it's crucial to focus on the problem we're trying to solve, even though it’s easy to become attached to our product or service. These can change over time, but the core problem remains central. This concept has been particularly relevant for us at SeekhShala™️ over the past few months. We’ve spent the last year working tirelessly to launch a school where learning is personal, relevant, and experiential—a place where every child is set up for success. However, just days before our launch, we encountered an unforeseen roadblock that caused our partnership to fall through, taking our school with it. Over the last two months, we've faced the critical question: “Do we pivot or do we persevere?” Rajan’s advice to stay focused on the problem has been our guiding light. The problem we’re addressing—outdated schools that fail to meet our children’s needs—remains unchanged. With that as our north star, we’ve chosen to pivot. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us in bringing the school close to reality. But as I said, we've pivoted, not stopped. At SeekhShala, we’re now working on some exciting new initiatives that we’ll reveal in due time. Stay tuned—there’s something big on the horizon! I’m sponsoring 1 in-person and 1 virtual ticket to a conference led by an organization I’ve come to know deeply over the past 4 years and fully believe will be an exceptional experience—Grace Hopper Celebration India by AnitaB.org India (#GHCI24). It’s not a grand gesture. For the cost of a nice dinner, you can change the life of a technologist in India by gifting them the opportunity to attend and contribute to India’s booming tech industry—and the rest of the world (given our continued and growing reliance on Indian technologists). Here’s why it matters: 🛑Over 43% of undergraduate STEM students in India are women (impressive compared to other parts of the world). 🛑However, women make up only 36% of the tech workforce in India. 🛑A whopping 50% of them drop out by mid-career. 🛑Only 11% hold senior leadership positions. 🛑What I hear most from technologists in India is that they are often pushed out of the industry due to societal pressures/expectations, lack of mentorship, access to networks/opportunities, safety concerns, and the struggle to be heard in underrepresented spaces. I'm passionate about developing Indian technologists to be recognized not just as skilled operators who do the work but as strategic leaders and collaborators driving their companies, products, industries and careers forward. If you’re an Indian-origin technologist or leader in the U.S., or if you’re partnering with teams and technologists in India and want to invest in their growth, pay it forward. If you’ve decided to sponsor a technologist and would like to also mentor them, reach out to me, and I can connect you with the AnitaB.org India team (featured in the pic below!). The link to the website for sponsoring is below.👇 Shreya Krishnan Priya Chawla

Today, on Teachers’ Day, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact teachers and mentors have had in my life, both personally and professionally. Over at FutureIK Technologies, we just shared a post celebrating this day, and it got me thinking about the various ‘teachers’ I’ve had along my journey - some in classrooms, others in life, business, and technology. At every stage, from my university days to building FutureIK Technologies, I've had the privilege of learning from people who believed in my vision, even when it seemed like a distant dream. Whether it was guidance on how to take risks, advice on handling setbacks, or simply the encouragement to keep pushing forward - these mentors were always there. In many ways, the work we do at FutureIK Technologies is an extension of that same idea. We aim to empower brands, simplifying their messaging through digital signage, much like how great teachers simplify complex ideas and help us see the bigger picture. I’d love to hear from you: Who has been a key teacher or mentor in your life? How have they shaped your journey? Let’s celebrate the people who have guided us along the way. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the post from FutureIK Technologies and let’s keep the conversation going. #TeachersDay #Mentorship #LifelongLearning #Gratitude #FutureIKTechnologies #FutureIK #AstaCMS
𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗗𝗮𝘆: 𝗔 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗨𝘀 At FutureIK Technologies, we believe that behind every successful individual, there’s a mentor who once guided, nurtured, and inspired them to grow. On this Teachers’ Day, we take a moment to celebrate the unsung heroes who leave a lasting impact on our lives - our teachers. In India, September 5th marks this special day, honoring the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a visionary educator and philosopher who believed that "teachers should be the best minds in the country." Teachers don’t just exist in classrooms - they are everywhere. From the mentors who shape our careers to the coaches who refine our skills, teaching is not limited by titles or positions. At FutureIK, we owe much of our growth to the guidance of those who have helped us navigate the complexities of both business and life. They’ve taught us resilience, the power of continuous learning, and most importantly, how to dream big while staying grounded. But here's a question for you: who has been the greatest teacher in your life? Was it someone in school, a colleague, or even a life experience? Share your thoughts, because today is all about reflecting on the lessons that shaped who we are. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are constantly reminded of the words, "𝘈 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘴." Let’s keep that in mind as we work to empower brands globally. Our mission to simplify brand messaging through digital signage is also, in many ways, a form of teaching - helping brands communicate effectively, shaping the way they connect with their audience. Happy Teachers' Day to all the educators, mentors, and guides. Let’s keep the conversation going. Who has been your greatest teacher, and how have they impacted your journey? We’d love to hear your stories! #TeachersDay #LearningNeverStops #MentorshipMatters #FutureIKTechnologies #FutureIK #AstaCMS
