𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉-𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕? We have spent the last decade searching for the answers to this question (across a variety of different contexts...including elite sport and business) and whilst evolving our 'Sport-to Business' offering, we've taken some time to collate our thoughts. Behind each block, in the diagram below, is a high-performance principle. Each week we will reveal one of these principles and add some context. Early start in the ‘Big Smoke’ this morning! Those who know me will have seen that I’m a little preoccupied this time of the year. For me, it’s a crucial time. Despite the warmer weather, I always have one eye on the autumn/winter, which is notoriously busy. Although the team and I check in regularly throughout each month, mid-year reviews tend to be more detailed than 1:1s. They’re not just about reviewing progress against individual and organisational objectives. They’re also about giving those will and resource gauges a tap and identifying ways of releasing some of that pressure. In the NW, we have been working hard on our resilience. We’ve been delving into the growth mindset and how it can help us to stay motivated and productive when things get tough. Recently, the team delivered their own workshop. They came back with a team goal that sits separately from organisational and personal goals. The goal is not to be the best or no.1, but to constantly improve. This journey involves reviewing all aspects of our work to build stronger systems, enhance compliance, foster a stronger culture, and improve the quality of our relationships. Even learning from other teams that do things differently. Our aim is to strengthen our sense of purpose, so that organisational wins feel like team wins. Continuous improvement is our mantra, and we're excited about the progress we're making! 💪 I’m keen to learn from your teams. Does your team have a goal? How have you built resilience? #GrowthMindset #TeamWork #ContinuousImprovement #Resilience #SimonSinek Walking With The Wounded Lee Thomas Louise McCreadie Scott Briggs Steve McGuire Cal Stewart William Cairns Stuart Raine

Perceived vs. Actual Productivity: The Illusion of Busyness Looking busy is easy. Delivering results is hard. But the latter is what truly drives progress—both for individuals and organizations. As professionals, let’s stop glorifying busyness and start celebrating real productivity. After all, the goal isn’t to look like we’re working; it’s to create work that matters.
