This initiative, launched alongside the 'Shenzhen Stories Initiative for Global City Civilizations Exchange,' brought Shenzhen's forward-thinking representatives to Singapore to explore collaborations with local businesses. During the four-day visit, meaningful connections were established, and key discussions were held on how to bring Shenzhen brands to a global audience. Wesley Hui, Founder of WiseNet Asia, shared his insights during the event, emphasizing the value of cross-border collaboration in today's fast-evolving business landscape. The 5th batch of "Zijin Friendship Ambassadors" selection ceremony was held in Nanjing. This year, the circle of friendship ambassadors has expanded once again, with 60 international friends now serving as "Zijin Friendship Ambassadors." Nanjing has developed trade relations with over 200 countries and regions worldwide, attracted 113 Fortune 500 companies to invest in the city, and established 106 sister city relation worldwide. Nanjing's global ranking in the 2024 Global Cities Index(GCI) has risen to 75th.  ⚓𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, and ranks fourth in the International Shipping Centre Development Index (ISCDI). ⛴️ The shipping business is composed of the port sector and maritime services, in which maritime services are the high-value-added segment of shipping business and the source of growth, having grown by nearly 40% from 2019 to 2022 in terms of economic contribution. ⚡Efforts to step up Hong Kong's maritime industry will be made, while taking a multi-pronged approach to consolidate Hong Kong's status as an international shipping centre. Together with HKTDC Frankfurt, Flows (Trade, Shipping, Logistics & Transport) and The Beacon | Innovation Community , HKETO Brussels will participate in a "lunch and learn" about the economic and maritime opportunities in Hong Kong on 23 January 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium.
