📺 Yesterday on Channel Kyiv 24, I tackled a hot topic: Should 🇺🇦 education be online or offline? This is a complex issue for Ukraine's educational sector, balancing safety, capacity, and the desire to return to the status quo. 🎓 Here’s my take: For K-12, 🇺🇦 needs a stronger push to return to offline education ASAP, provided safety is guaranteed. Organizations like Ukrainian Leadership Academy, savED, Teach For Ukraine and Junior Achievement Ukraine are working tirelessly to bring kids and interesting curriculum back to physical classrooms. This approach ensures equitable learning outcomes and essential socialization for Ukraine’s next generation. 👩🎓👨🎓 When it comes to post-secondary education, my opinion diverges. Older students are mature enough to manage their learning outcomes, and with Ukraine’s economy needing labor, they shouldn’t face ultimatums to return physically or quit their jobs. Some faculties do need heavy offline presence for labs and experiments, but with ongoing power outages, no university can guarantee comfortable offline conditions. Students should have the final say in how they wish to operate. 🌐 This situation has spurred the creation of new online or hybrid universities like Neoversity by GoIT - start your career in IT in partnership with EPAM Systems, and SET University both focusing on tech-related studies. Universities that adapt to this new reality will attract incoming students from all around Ukraine, while institutions clinging to old ways will face real challenges.

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: 2024: The year technology and education joined forces to transform futures. When Online Hub Educational Services launched the #GirlsLearnCode initiative and reached 1,000 girls across Ogun State, something remarkable happened. It wasn't just about teaching coding; it was about unlocking potential, challenging barriers, and showing young women that technology is their playground. This journey crystallized during my PhD defense in Educational Media & Technology—a milestone that was never just about personal achievement, but about creating a blueprint for educational transformation in Nigeria. Key moments that defined our impact: • Successfully defended my PhD thesis, proving that academic rigor can drive real-world change. • Received the Ogun Digital Summit #ODS2024 Innovation and Impact Award, highlighting our commitment to digital transformation. • Expanded the Girls Learn Code initiative, introducing #Scratch coding to 1,000 girls across 10 public secondary schools in Ogun State with support from the Scratch Foundation. Three posts that captured our mission: PhD Defense Success: https://lnkd.in/e9kFg4p9 "Immensely thankful to my Supervisors, the External Examiner, my Head of Department, Lecturers, Mentors, Colleagues, Friends, and Family for their unwavering support throughout this journey." Ogun Digital Summit Recognition: https://lnkd.in/eZPMAb4g "The feedback has been incredible, with many citing my session as a highlight of the event." Digital Nigeria Youth Summit: https://lnkd.in/e8THJbVV "Digital Nigeria: Harnessing Technology for Effective Governance and Data-Driven Policy Making" At international conferences like the UI STEM-AI Conference and iCOTED, we've continued pushing boundaries—demonstrating how educational technology can be a powerful catalyst for national development. Looking ahead to 2025: Our mission remains crystal clear. We're not just teaching technology; we're building ecosystems where every young Nigerian can become a digital innovator, policy shaper, and future leader. Grateful to every student, mentor, and collaborator who made this transformative year possible. Together, we're rewriting the narrative of technology in education. During our last concluded STEM summer camp, we had this one student with a tiny phone, but every time we gave class work, he would say he was working with his phone. This young lad was coding on a (torchlight) phone. I could not believe my eyes when he showed me his work once, and I had to make a video. You won't get the support you crave; you will only get as much effort as you put in. In my last post, I made it clear that Africa has a lot of untapped potential, and until we put effort into building a sustainable system, we will never reach the zenith. What is holding you back? Days back, I was in meeting with a potential partner and one of their representative said; "I'm seeing the waves of publicity the Campus Ambassadorial Programme is making in University of Benin and Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma. We'll be happy to help out with the expansion into other institutions." Uniben I know of. AAU, how???? I only acknowledged her, saying we'll talk later. I've not channelled anything into AAU yet. I had no knowledge of AAU waves whatsoever. Then I began to research, got into AAU niche, and it was true. Wow! Who was responsible? Couldn't pinpoint the person until yesterday at TTA. He walked up to me and was like "I don't think you know me but I've been looking for a way to speak to you about Tech Wave Nationwide Campus Community for a while. I've been able to get your contact, Sir. I'm the unofficial representative at AAU. We've built a team in place but need directions on what to do and resources too, Sir. Please I need your formal approval and a meeting with you and the founding team." And yh, I was surprised yet my composure was in full capacity 😂 PS: No effort you make are wasted, those little doing will one become big so DARE TO DREAM. #techwave #branddeveloper #linkedlnconnect #storytime
