Implementation of Health Technology Assessment in the Middle East We are excited to announce that Syreon Middle East has recently received positive feedback from prestigious journals for the acceptance of two significant health policy papers focused on developing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) systems in the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, highlighting our ongoing commitment in shaping health policy strategies in the Middle East. As an initial step, our team successfully coordinated a regional HTA roadmap across the Middle East, a foundational step towards standardized HTA practices. Dive into our detailed methodology here on https://lnkd.in/dTkn6Djk Subsequently, we facilitated the publication of national HTA roadmaps for several MENA countries, including Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Oman, and Turkey. These efforts are pivotal in shaping local health policy frameworks. Explore these contributions: Egypt: https://lnkd.in/d5QwUAb9 Jordan: https://lnkd.in/dG-xtk2B Turkey: https://lnkd.in/dYQQFc3d Our commitment to education and research has supported multiple PhD students, culminating in one PhD degree and two ongoing PhD candidacies, further strengthening the academic foundation of HTA in the region. Developed in collaboration with our esteemed international partner Prof. Zoltán Kaló, our standard methodological approach ensures that the HTA roadmaps across these countries are not only comprehensive but also comparable. #HealthEconomics #HealthTechnologyAssessment #HTA #PublicHealth #MENAHealthInitiatives #HealthPolicy

I am sharing a very dear project to my heart ; an essential document highlighting the early UAE response during the COVID-19 pandemic. Why Important? It encapsulates contributions from various UAE officials, offering a comprehensive national-level perspective. Why Presenting UAE Experience? UAE's commitment to safeguarding its populace makes it a vital reference for other nations. This document serves as a crucial reference for other countries, providing insights into the effectiveness of measures adopted by the UAE during the pandemic. It delineates which strategies are successful and which are not, including considerations of cost-effectiveness. While cost information may not be explicitly provided, the document illustrates the importance of swift responses in mitigating adverse outcomes and reducing burdens. Page 10 particularly highlights this aspect eloquently. Why Documenting Responses? With pandemic threats persisting, comprehensive documentation becomes imperative. Such records serve as invaluable references for future emergencies, enhancing global preparedness. We must ensure more accessible sources like this document are available on national and international platforms, including the World Health Organization. ** Lastly, heartfelt gratitude to my team during my tenure at ADPHC for their patience and persistence in bringing this work to fruition Shahad Al Shamlan Hanan Al-Mutairi , Ahlam Al Maskari , special thanks to Dr. Farida Al Hosani for initiating this initiative, Marília Silva Paulo for her authorship, and the IPH UAEU for their support. #PublicHealth #COVID19Response #UAEHealthcare #GlobalHealthcare #Collaboration #KnowledgeSharing
