Recalling Konosuke Matsushita’s philosophies, the belief that technology is akin to tap of water, available abundantly at an affordable cost, inspired him to establish Panasonic in 1918. The idea was to build a better society through technological solutions.   Today, as we stand at a juncture where fostering a green future becomes imperative, technology once again emerges as a critical driver to achieve our goals. It’s indeed encouraging to be part of the pitch day for the #PanasonicIgnition accelerator programme.   Over the last six months Panasonic and 100X.VC teams have worked relentlessly to launch the first cohort of the Ignition programme. From 140 applications, shortlisting 12 start-ups to participate in the demo day today, it has been quite a journey. I am delighted to have engaged with all the participants and I think everyone here is a winner, though we have two of the start-ups - Enlite and Clairco as the Ignition winners and will receive Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) funding and business collaborations, while the four Accelerate winners - SustLabs, QUEBEQ VENTURES, Sensiable and Blaze Automation Pvt Ltd will get an opportunity for business collaborations and get to implement solutions in partnership with Panasonic companies.
