Art Pharmacy x WELL Article: A Culture Prescription I’ve always believed that art is one of the most underutilised tools in our cities. Beyond its visual engagement, art is a powerful medium for connection, expression, and healing. I’m so proud of our article with the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the global authority on health and wellness in the built environment. Together, we’re showcasing how art can play a pivotal role in creating spaces that prioritise the health and well-being of the people within them. Art has the power to elevate our daily lives, and I’m passionate about showing how it can reshape our thinking about health and well-being in our built environments. In this article, we dive into the tangible benefits of integrated art in the workplace, highlighting positive impacts such as: 💠 Fostering Creativity and Innovation 💠Building Identity and Culture 💠Enhancing Overall Wellbeing 💠Facilitating Engagement and Collaboration 💠Create a Sense of Ownership and Pride 💠Showcasing Inclusion and Diversity We also highlight the impact corporate art collections can have on the artists themselves. Corporate spaces offer invaluable opportunities, showcasing artists' work to diverse audiences, including professionals and visitors, far beyond the reach of traditional galleries. These placements often lead to ongoing collaborations, such as rotating exhibitions or themed collections, providing both creative opportunities and steady income. The benefits of integrating art into workplaces are undeniable. Art has the power to transform more than just spaces—it transforms experiences. By embracing art, organisations create inspiring environments for their teams and provide invaluable opportunities for artists to thrive and innovate. Thank you to WELL Certified for collaborating on this article with us and advocating for the transformative power of art to create healthier, more inspiring spaces for people to thrive. We're grateful for your partnership and the work you do to support people-first places and spaces!
As always - I love your work in this arena - bringing reflection, enjoyment, empowerment and so much more through art. I am not sure art is underutilized - I believe we don't even see it, it is so much a part of our lives that it is unappreciated. When it is missing - we feel nothing, no connection. I love the art work - the Heart Works!
Highlighting the role of art in fostering innovation and community is spot on. Excited to see more workplaces adopt this approach.
the images here are so uplifting and project health & wellness as a priority.Congratulations.

What a great article Emilya - art really does heal the soul, doesn't it! It's amazing, how much difference the right piece of art can make to a space
Amazing to see art being recognized as a tool for wellness and inclusion in our built environments. Kudos to Art Pharmacy and WELL Certified for leading the way in reshaping how we think about spaces!
Congratulations on your article! so important to educate people on the importance of public art - I think most people don't really think about it as our heads are so full, so learning about it will hopefully make them stop and think 'medicine' 😍
