We're highly looking forward to supporting all of the interesting, positive and paving-the-way-type collaborations!
🌱 Exciting news! VU Amsterdam joins as partner of Next Food Collective. We are proud that Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) has become partner of Next Food Collective, a leading Dutch organization that fosters public-private partnerships within the Dutch agro-food sector. 🗣️“The partnership between VU Amsterdam and Next Food Collective marks a shared ambition towards a healthier and more sustainable food production,” says Bas Teusink, professor in Systems Biology and scientific director at AIMMS VU Molecular Research Accelerator. 🎉 On September 5, we celebrated this partnership with an inspiring introductory meeting. Key figures from both VU Amsterdam and Next Food Collective were present to support this exciting initiative. Including Executive Board chair Margrethe Jonkman and Gerda Verburg, non-executive director of Next Food Collective. 🤝This collaboration opens up new avenues for impactful public-private collaborations, leveraging VU Amsterdam’s significant food-related research. In the coming weeks, our first joint project, Fermi is expected to start. This project is led by Herwig Bachmann of AIMMS and co-managed by Next Food Collective. Fermi aims to revolutionize plant-based fermentations, transforming them into predictable technologies to enhance the taste and flavor of plant-based ingredients, addressing a crucial challenge in the shift towards a plant-based diet. Looking forward to seeing what this collaboration will bring! 📰 https://lnkd.in/e2-NmUtE Davide Iannuzzi | IXA - Innovation Exchange Amsterdam | Amsterdam Movement Sciences (VU, Amsterdam UMC) | ACTA (Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam) | Athena - Research and Education Institute | Bettina Zijlstra | Next Food Collective
