Reflections on My CV: 🤔 Why Have I Become the Person I Am? My time at MaggaLoo was one of those rare experiences that helped shape me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. Working in a small knitwear company in Ikast from 1993 to 1996, I had my hands in nearly everything—from pattern-making, design, and accessories purchasing to overseeing the development and production of samples and collections in Poland. 🧵🚗 Arne Madsen, my boss at the time, was a truly remarkable leader. He became a close friend, and his kindness, guidance, sharp fun and business sense made him someone I admired deeply. He also showed me that there are bigger purposes in life than "just" business. Even though he passed away earlier this spring, I still cherish the memories we created. His leadership remains an inspiration to me. 💭 One of the most rewarding aspects of my work at MaggaLoo was travelling to Poland to oversee the production process and work directly with teams there. The cultural differences were a big shift from what I was used to, but I loved every minute of it. The BIG S in ESG. 💜 It was here I learned about the human side of leadership—how to collaborate and connect with people who come from different backgrounds, and how to find common ground in pursuit of a shared goal. 🌍🤝 MaggaLoo gave me room to grow not only technically and professionally but also personally. Balancing so many different roles stretched my capabilities and opened my eyes to the importance of adaptability and empathy in leadership. It wasn’t always easy, but it was one of the most formative experiences of my career. Even though the company is no longer around, my time there and the people I met, like Arne, left a lasting mark on me. It's a time I remember fondly, full of challenges and growth, and it's a reminder that the journey is often as important as the destination. 😍 💚 📗 #ESG #leadership #reflections

This image and the comments are a great example of a clash between the values of a brand's cultural Tribe and the ones from a public figure endorsing it. By wearing adidas Samba trainers, the Prime Minister is sending a symbolic message through his clothing choice. Adidas' latest campaign centers around the message of 'playing like the pressure didn’t exist.' Given the current political climate, it appears the Prime Minister might relate to this message and therefore wearing these as an agreement . 😅 However, Dr. Marcus Collins , in his book 'For the Culture,' highlights the concept of 'cultural tribes' – tight-knit consumer communities with shared values and interests. The majority of Adidas' cultural tribe might not identify with the Prime Minister. ⚡️This creates a tension: does the brand association still resonate with their target audience? Have the perceived values associated with Adidas, such as authenticity or youthfulness, changed? This unforeseen brand alignment is creating confusion. Thoughts and prayers with the PR team handling this! Brands play a significant role in culture, and celebrity endorsements are a key part of a brand positioning strategy. When a brand associates their image with an artist, it is essential that the values align so it doesn’t create a clash in consumer’s minds. As we wrap up the GoCaboo project this week, I'm filled with a mix of emotions - pride, relief, and gratitude. This journey has taught me invaluable lessons that will stay with me forever. Firstly, I learned that every beginning has an end. This project showed me that no matter how challenging or lengthy a project may seem, it will eventually come to a close. But the real magic happened along the way. I discovered the importance of patience as a leader. There were times when I felt like running out of patience, but I learned to put on my 'patient cap' and persevere. This project transformed me into a researcher overnight! I had to dig deep to find solutions, often sacrificing my peace until we found the answer. Most importantly, GoCaboo gave me the boldness to speak up for and with my team. I learned to advocate for their needs and ideas. Other key takeaways include: →The value of teamwork and collaboration →Effective communication is key to success →Embracing challenges as opportunities for growth →Celebrating small wins along the way As I reflect on this experience, I realize that leading a team requires: ➢Patience: To navigate obstacles and uncertainty ➢Curiosity: To seek solutions and learn ➢Courage: To speak up and advocate for your team ➢Resilience: To bounce back from setbacks The GoCaboo project may be ending, but its impact on me will continue to shape my leadership and personal growth.
