If you want to make sure your podcast is polished and ready for your audience, here’s a quick editing checklist I use for every episode: 1️⃣ Upload video and audio files 2️⃣ Sync all clips together 3️⃣ Export video and audio 4️⃣ Timestamp for clips to use for short-form content 5️⃣ Edit short-form clips with captions 6️⃣ Export all pieces of content Following these steps ensures your podcast looks and sounds professional, and that you have content ready for both long-form and short-form platforms. Don’t have time to go through all this? I can handle it for you, saving you time and making sure everything is done right. Let’s connect! 🎧🚀

I had an amazing experience experimenting with NotebookLM to create a custom audio summary for my newsletter! The results? Pure magic 🤯. (P.S. Yes, I only shared the link to my Substack page!) What's even more exciting is how custom instructions added a new layer of personality to the conversation, almost like having podcast hosts dive deeper into the topics on The Deep Dive podcast. It felt dynamic and truly engaging! I can already see this being a gamechanger for consuming long-form content in audio format. Imagine turning dense articles or reports into easily digestible, bite-sized audio summaries! 🚀 Also, if you haven't yet subscribed to my newsletter, now's the perfect time! Your content needs to connect with your audience. And it's not just about the content but the way that you deliver it to your listeners. Being yourself is the very best way to connect with your audience and introduce your content to them. So forget about talking the way you used to write at school. Talk into your microphone the way you talk to your friends, colleagues and peers. And don't forget to talk to just one person at a time. Podcast listeners like to feel like they are involved and using words like 'you' will help with that.

Is live viewership the most important part of a live stream? According to Russel Brunson, the answer is "no". The real value of doing a live show, as Brunson explains in his book Traffic Secrets, lies in post-production. As he explains in his chapter "Conversation Domination", he recommends structuring a live stream with clear distinct segments, where each one is designed to be repurposed into other formats later. Some segments Brunson recommends are: ◦ Monologue: Becomes your next podcast episode. ◦ How-to segment: Perfect for YouTube tutorials. ◦ Interactive Q&A: Short-form clips for Instagram or TikTok. Brunson’s approach reframes the purpose of doing a live stream—not just a way to broadcast a live event, but as a way to generate long-form content designed for editing and repurposing. It’s not just having the highest number of live viewers—it’s about filling a content calendar with authentic, community-driven material that keeps the conversation going well after the stream ends.

3 Mistakes That Can Hurt Your Podcast (and How to Fix Them) 1️⃣ Neglecting Audio Quality – Listeners forgive many things, but bad audio isn’t one of them. Invest in a good mic and use noise reduction tools. 2️⃣ Skipping Editing – Raw podcasts feel authentic but often drag. Tight editing keeps episodes crisp and engaging. 3️⃣ Inconsistent Posting – If listeners can’t rely on new content regularly, they’ll move on. Need help fixing these? Let me handle the editing while you focus on creating great content!

Your podcast doesn't 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 to have video. In fact, video can be a barrier between you and your audience. When you supply your audience with visuals, they're less emotionally engaged with your content. That's what the science says anyway, which I wrote about in my latest blog post (𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸). Video bros, feel free to come at me with your arguments about cross-platform discoverability. But a podcast without video is still a podcast, whereas a video without sound is a GIF. (And if you notice something different about my writing style in the post, I'm testing out the Smart Brevity writing format. If you've tried it, I'd love to hear your thoughts📝)
