As we close out #TraumaAwarenessMonth, we highlight the rise in traumatic injuries from electric bikes and scooters. 🚲🛴 Over the past five years, 64 people in Palm Beach County required transport to trauma centers due to such injuries, with 40 occurring in 2023 alone! 📈 This recent exponential increase is concerning as more people engage in these activities and we see more of these vehicles on our roadways. To prevent injuries: wear a helmet, follow road rules, conduct regular maintenance checks, and always ride responsibly. #TraumaEducation #WeCareForAll #PreventingTraumaticInjuries #StaySafe
