Role: QA Engineer Experience: 3yrs to 5yrs Location : Hyderabad Recruiter : Koti@sonixhr.com Job Description Responsible for the following Sprint Level Activities: • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases forSprint scope using JIRA • Data planning and data setup • Build and install in the QA Environment • Do manual testing covering front end, API and database layers • Identify bugs and log Bugs in Jira and assign to the respective developer • Interact with the developer in replicating the bugs for fixing • Retest the fixes to ensure the defects are closed • Conduct regression testing for the entire product before every release (avg. 2 days for2 testers) • Monitor logs using Putty to check for exceptions and errors • Querying, verifying and validating database as a part of the testing process • API testing using Postman for HTTP and REST • Web Services testing using SOAP UI • Ensure regression defects are identified, communicated and fixed before the release • Ensure the existing functionality is not broken due to new code changes • Provide testing sign off for the Sprint Scope and regression • Maintain the regression suite by adding new functionality test cases • Conduct post production testing in the production (SaaS) Environment 2. At the project level conduct end to end testing to ensure all the new changes are intactand no new defects are introduced. Provide testing sign off for the entire project. 3. Automating the regression suite using Java Selenium. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. What you will do? *Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications. Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria. *Test Execution: Execute test cases manually to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications. Record and document test results, including defects and issues.
