The profitability of numerous investments driving climate transformation contrasts with their struggle to attract adequate capital. Bridging this gap between solutions and funding is imperative for advancing sustainable development objectives.
Last week, McKinsey hosted the fourth edition of our Green Tech Founders Forum in Stockholm. The event focused on a key challenge for green tech scale-ups today: financing. The climate transition creates the largest capital opportunity of our time. To capture it, founders, climate transition investors, and debt financiers jointly need to find new ways of collaborating and modify investment mandates to support scaling of green tech opportunities. We still have a lot to explore together, but sessions like GTFF makes me confident that we’re heading in the right direction. Thank you to all participants for an inspiring evening, and a special thanks to Chris Archer, Clara Zverina, Eirik Winter and Parham Abuhamzeh for sharing your insights in our panel discussion. #Sustainability #GreenTechFoundersForum
