Our e-scooter fleet at Jakob Vietnam continues to grow. In spring 2023, we launched the project with 12 e-scooters. Since then, the project has proved very successful for our employees. We have now added 22 more e-scooters. The Jakob e-scooter fleet now consists of a total of 100 vehicles. Our employees use these e-vehicles every day and charge them with solar power in our factory. The more employees discover and use the advantages of our company's own e-mobility, the greater our impact to reducing emissions will be. The electricity for the e-scooters is supported by photovoltaics on the roofs of our factory. Up to 1 million kWh of solar power is generated here every year. That's more than we need for our production at the site. We therefore provide the surplus electricity for e-vehicles used by our employees. #JakobVietnam #eMobility #Photovoltaics #JakobRopeSystems

Synergy of effects is a keyword in business, and we know exactly how to achieve it. Simply reach for some of our great solutions, which together, both at the investment stage and at the utility stage, will result in a synergy of effects. Today we will take a look at an investment in Mostki, Poland. Here we have an example of the construction of photovoltaic infrastructure in a dynamically growing company with a large-scale production facility along with large parking lots. And as parking lots are electric cars. Here we have two of our latest solutions. Carport system for the development of parking spaces and charging of electric cars, and a great and modern design of solar farm, in the form of east-west system TF-64. The investor made optimal use of our solutions and our experience and execution efficiency. As a result, he gained a leap in energy balance and maintained a very competitive investment budget. #experience #construction #solar #quality #project #team #solarfarm #pv #resindustry #growth #energytransition #europe #mountings #mountingsmanufacturer #electric cars #power generation in the parking lot #carport #east-west solar system

Electric cars offer several significant benefits for Indonesians. As eco-friendly vehicles, they produce zero tailpipe emissions, contributing significantly to pollution and carbon footprint reduction. Additionally, electric cars powered by renewable sources like solar energy can potentially save on operational costs. After a solar energy system is installed, charging an electric car becomes significantly cheaper in the long run, reducing reliance on both traditional fuel and frequent battery charging. Furthermore, electric cars, due to their design, support the potential of renewable energy storage and smart electricity grids, ultimately decreasing dependence on fossil fuels. However, widespread adoption of electric cars in Indonesia faces significant challenges. Inconsistent weather patterns impact solar energy efficiency, as sunlight plays a crucial role in charging. Additionally, limitations in waste management technology pose another hurdle. Some current methods are considered inadequate in handling hazardous chemicals found in used batteries. The lack of adequate charging station infrastructure is another major obstacle. Currently, charging stations are primarily concentrated in major cities, raising concerns for long-distance travel. Additionally, the range of electric cars (distance traveled on a single charge) and charging times are limitations, especially for those with high driving needs. While battery technology is constantly improving, mileage remains a concern for many consumers. Solar-powered electric cars face specific challenges at night due to their dependence on sunlight for charging. To overcome these challenges, the government and industry players are collaborating on multiple fronts. Research emphasizes the importance of careful planning and integration of solar energy into existing infrastructure. Key areas of focus include improving solar energy efficiency, utilizing energy storage technologies, and adapting systems to handle weather variations and environmental conditions. The government has a crucial role to play in developing and implementing policies and regulations that support electric car adoption. This includes encouraging investment and infrastructure development for charging stations. Furthermore, strong collaboration between the government and industry is needed to attract investment in battery waste management solutions. Public awareness campaigns promoting sustainable. #electriccars #electricvehicles #solarenergy #fossilfuel #sustainable

Delving into #japan's #railway #industry, we're spotlighting #sustainable #initiatives! Nankai Electric Railway Co. Ltd. has launched an exciting initiative towards achieving their "Nankai Environmental Vision 2030." Starting April 1, 2024, all six units of the Rapi:t express train, connecting Namba to Kansai International Airport, will run on #100% #renewable #energy, slashing approximately 2,000 tons of CO2 missions annually. This update aligns with their dedication to lowering CO2 emissions, building on prior initiatives such as running the Koyasan Cable Car entirely on renewable energy since June 1, 2021. By applying Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.'s "Renewable Energy Eco Plan" to power the entire Rapi:t fleet, they aim to offer even more environmentally friendly transportation solutions. Odakyu Electric Railway Co. Ltd. Group has made huge progress in their sustainability journey. They have transitioned all their railway operations, including stations, signals, and crossings, to Tokyo Electric Power Energy Partner Co., Ltd.'s "Green Basic Plan." This strategic move ensures that 100% of the electricity used is from renewable sources, effectively reducing approximately 156,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually to almost zero. In addition to this, the group has plans to introduce around 500 electric buses, which will represent about 15% of their bus fleet, by fiscal year 2030. Keikyu Corporation is making its mark in the sustainability movement through a unique partnership with TAKEX Electricity Co., Ltd. As part of the "Miura Forest Project," starting April 1, 2023, all electricity used by Keikyu's subsidiary, Hayama Mariner, will be sourced from wood #biomass-derived renewable energy. This innovative approach is set to achieve virtually zero CO2 emissions. The Japanese railway market continues to pave the way for sustainable transportation solutions. Let's embrace these initiatives and work together towards a greener, more sustainable future and (of course!) comfortable and enjoyable rail travel!
