We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the new SPARBEL RESIDENCE on Siesta Key - The house is a testament to transparency and light, with extensive glass walls that invite an abundance of natural light while offering unobstructed views of the canal and waterfront. The main living area channels the inhabitants view, creating a serene connection with the outdoors where dolphins frequently play in the canal. Beneath the house, the pool deck offers a shaded retreat, featuring a lap pool, hot tub, and sun shelf that cater to both relaxation and recreation. The pool deck itself is crafted through several variations in elevation, cascading gently down to meet the waterfront, enhancing the visual and experiential flow from the house to the coastal context. - #modernarchitecture #sarasotaarchitecture #floridaarchitecture #sarasotaarchitect #sarasotaarchitects #tropicalarchitecture #architect #architecture #archilover #newhome #home #homesweethome #homedesign #newhomeconstruction #newhomedesign #newhomebuild #sarasotaflorida #sarasotarealestate #luxury #luxuryhomes #luxurylifestyle #luxuryhome #luxurylife #luxuryrealestate #floridarealestate #sarasotarealestate #sarasotarealtor #homeinspiration #homeinterior

The uniqueness of this design lies in its fluid, dynamic form that challenges conventional architecture. The multiple circular levels connected by elegant, spiraling ramps create a visual and functional flow that's more commonly seen in natural formations than man-made structures. This graceful, continuous curve serves as both the spine and the striking aesthetic feature of the villa. The use of open-air ramps instead of closed stairwells or elevators brings a seamless integration between indoor and outdoor spaces, emphasizing an open concept that invites natural light and the surrounding seascape into the living areas. The repeating pattern of the ramp's railing adds a textural element that contrasts with the smoothness of the glass and the solidity of the concrete slabs. The building's elevated design, with its underbelly illuminated at night, gives the impression that it's floating above the rocky landscape, providing an ethereal quality to the robust structure. Moreover, the inclusion of lush vegetation throughout the levels integrates the architecture with the environment, blurring the lines between the built and the natural world. In sum, this villa is a testament to imaginative and ambitious design that combines artistry with engineering, and luxury with nature, making it a unique landmark.

Title: Tholos Firm: LandmArch. Type: Concept, Residential, Hospitality Focus point: Form, Sustainability Illustration: LandmArch. AI Year: 2024 Location: Corfu, Greece Description: #Trulli, or #Tholos, stand as a testament to an ancient and unique style of construction that has endured through the ages. These distinctive structures, with their #conical #roofs and #rustic #stone #walls, have a rich history that dates back to prehistoric times. Originally conceived as #temporary field shelters, #storehouses, and modest dwellings for small-scale landowners and agricultural laborers, trulli exhibit a robust #design that offers remarkable #versatility. Constructed from #locally sourced materials like compact #limestone or white #tuff, these buildings are not only #durable but also #adaptable, capable of meeting both simple and complex needs through a series of interconnected rooms and subterranean passages. One of the most fascinating aspects of trulli is their optimal #thermal performance. The thick stone walls and #minimal windows create a natural #insulation system, keeping the interiors warm in winter and cool in summer. This #ingenious design demonstrates the resourcefulness of the early builders, who utilized these structures primarily for agricultural purposes, including food storage. Today, trulli are celebrated not only for their historical significance but also for their #aesthetic and #cultural value. Recognized as #UNESCO World Heritage sites, they stand as symbols of architectural beauty and ingenuity. In this project, LandmArch. draws inspiration from the Ancestral Intelligence of the Hellenistic period along the coastline of eastern #Italy (Apulia), where these structures are still thriving, seeking to connect them with their architectural roots. The Greek term “trullos,” meaning #cupola or #dome suggests that these structures may have been inspired by #Hellenic designs. Recognizing the similarities in #landscape and climate, #Corfu emerges as the ideal Greek locale to #reintroduce this ancient architectural #form into the #hospitality industry. By studying construction details, the selection of local natural materials, and traditional techniques, we aim to present a new #residence that encapsulates the #simplicity and #beauty of these timeless structures. Our design celebrates the #wisdom inherent in their interiors, offering a modern homage to the enduring "elegance and functionality of trulli #architecture.

ARCHITECTURE of STEPS (OCT 2014 Gautam Shah) https://lnkd.in/f6x8_gP Romanesque period saw interior stairs and outdoor steps for entrances with converging and diverging flights on a common landing or a foyer. Spiral stair with a column or pier as the central element, often called Newel, were used in Gothic buildings. Later Gothic buildings had large diameter spiral stairs with an open central core. Post Gothic period stairs began to wind in many directions, had variable widths and curved steps. Stairs began to visually connect all the floors interim spaces. Stairwells or gaps, created spaces which were multi-layered and yet interconnected. Open or exterior steps became features of landscape design in plazas and gardens, such as in Villa de este at Trivoli, Scala di Spagna at Rome, Capitol at Rome, Kashmir Mughal gardens.
