I have been following recent discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion #DEI, and I have noticed the following: - DEI hires are often looked down upon by their peers who believe they did not earn their positions based on merit. - Despite clear historical imbalances that require DEI considerations, DEI hires often have to work much harder than their peers to prove themselves. - DEI hires may find it challenging to be promoted because they are often hired for specific roles that are intended to improve the organization's image. The Alabama Talent Triad, backed by the visionary leadership of Governor Kay Ivey, aims to foster a dynamic connection between Employers, Policymakers, and job seekers. The goal is clear: to equip the state's workforce with skills that not only match but excel in the global job market. Key Achievements: 20,000 Activated LERs: A significant number of individuals have already taken the proactive step to showcase their skills and qualifications through Learning and Employment Records. Tripartite Collaboration: Employers, Policymakers, and job seekers are coming together to build a more competitive workforce economy in Alabama. Governor Kay Ivey's Support: With the Governor's backing, the Alabama Talent Triad is poised for expansive growth.
