This is a bad tube socket , I removed from the chassis , from one of my amplifier project. This socket would leak dc current from the plate pin to the cathode pin. As you can see , this is an blank tube socket, and under high voltage , abouts (+) 300 volts , cause a great deal of distortion of the amplifier signal. This is an example of how contamination on high voltage parts causes the high voltage to leak currents on the equipment. Yes , this is fixable.

The problem with armoured cabling for transformerless inverters is "heart breaking" to look at. Those cables have no possibility " to get rid " of harmonics or high leakage current coming from inverter . A seperate 2nd earthing has to be done at the inverter ("chassis grounding" )to get rid of emf fields .... #sustainibility #alternativeenergy

Inspection of 16kV Stator Bars Steps I normally use: 1. Identify and fix weak points in the insulation system caused by partial discharge (PD). 2. Identify the type of PD (internal discharge, surface discharge, contact discharge, and corona discharge). 3. Apply the corrective method according to the type and severity of discharge. 4. Test the insulation system. Depending on the level of severity, this can include Hipot AC combined with Hipot DC, and checking the polarization index (PI). #synchronousgenerator #winding #insulationsystem #hydro
