But here I am, diving back into the world of storytelling, and it’s all thanks to AI. 🎬 My First AI Short Film: Diving Into the Technical Side with CapCut 🎬 This past Sunday, I stepped out of my comfort zone and entered my first AI short film competition! Although horror isn’t the type of film I usually watch or create, I took this as a perfect opportunity to try something new and challenge myself. One key area I focused on was using CapCut to create an eerie, gloomy atmosphere for the film. Since the storyline alternates between the main character’s dialogue and her memories of the past, I needed a clear transition to distinguish these moments visually. Here’s how I did it: 🔹 Sepia Filter: I used the sepia filter to give the flashbacks a nostalgic, yet unsettling vibe. This filter in CapCut adds a warm, brownish tone to the footage, instantly signaling that the scene is set in the past. It helped reinforce the idea of memories without using heavy visual effects. 🔹 Transitions: I used two different transitions to create a distinct shift between the present and the memories: Black Fade: After the main character finished talking in the present, I used a black fade transition to signify the end of the moment, giving the scene a somber, fading-out effect before moving into her memories. Blur: When transitioning out of her memories and back to the present, I used a blur transition to capture the sense of disorientation as the past fades and the story shifts back to reality. These techniques helped build the gloomy atmosphere I wanted for the film and subtly yet effectively distinguish between past and present. If you thought Hollywood was fake before meet SORA! Finally it’s here! The long awaited #SORA from #OpenAI has finally been announced today officially. So what does this mean for Hollywood? It means don’t trust your eyes anymore because you won’t know what’s real and what isn’t. I’m not saying it’s perfect or even close to perfect but this is the beginning of an earth shattering new paradigm of creating what appears to be real video out of thin air. I’ve been working on leveraging these tools for the past three years and consider myself a pro in most of the mainstream AI text image and video. A new age of independent filmmakers will emerge that will be able to do everything from their garage for under $500 a month in subscriptions. I’ve positioned myself to be primed and ready for the new wave of films that will be created utilizing a singular vision with optional collaboration with other artists. Now I ask you with all the possibilities to create content today that our current market values on Legacy and traditional filmmaking processes, how could you miss out on this once in a lifetime window. Who’s with me? Who wants to go with me down this road and generate content that could never have been done before without an army of people? Who wants to make a $10 million movie with me for a fraction of the cost? Who’s willing to go down the road of achieving the lion share of a singular vision that can be produced in a month rather than years?
