2/3 of fleet vehicles run by companies are ready to go electric this year. In a time where it feels all doom and gloom for the EV industry in the news, this refreshing press release from GEOTAB outlines the UK's readiness to 'double down' on EV adoption. In a 7-year period this can: Save roughly £13,279 per vehicle Prevent the use of 2.2 billion gallons of fuel* Avoid approximately 19 million metric tons of CO2 emissions* *1.3million vehicles
Way to go UK! I've spoken to too many fleet managers in the US the past couple of years that have done little to no planning for electrification. They usually have not understood the issues they could face with just having the ability to get enough power to a location, let alone what the charging needs will be, the costs, and most importantly, the advantages. Without forethought and preparation, they may find themselves losing out to competitors, or having to rely on 3rd party charging provides, costing them more in the long run.
