HUGE increase in companies planning to use robots ☝️ This 2024 Intralogistics Robotics Survey (source: Modern Materials Handling Magazine) highlights the rapid and significant increase in robot adoption and planned robot adoption. Back in 2022, ‘40% of respondents said they had no plans to use robots in the future’ – now only 8% hold that view, with 46% planning to implement robots. Key drivers include addressing labour shortages and reducing costs with ‘most survey respondents (71%) [planning] to expand their robotic fleet in the next two years’ – top priority use cases include picking and sorting. 60% of companies ‘are currently using or considering other types of large-scale intralogistics automation like conveyors, sortation, storage/retrieval or shuttle systems’, while ‘91% of companies had their time-to-value objectives met or exceeded; 88% were satisfied with the integration costs and 83% had their process performance objectives met or exceeded.’ Interesting stuff 👇 https://lnkd.in/eX3y67kS #intralogistics #supplychain #robots #robotics #futureofwork #data #research #tech #technology #smartrobots #ai #materials #picking #sorting #robotics #survey #automation #shuttle #warehouse #logistics
