Today, December 3, 2024, is #GivingTuesday. It’s a simple idea: a movement that encourages people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to support their communities. There are so many ways to express generosity on GivingTuesday and every day! Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a stranger, or giving to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give. About GivingTuesday: -GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good. -It is a global movement that reached Canada in 2013. It focuses on unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. It is the world’s largest generosity movement. -The goal is creating an activation that allows people to express generosity in a memorable, impact way. You can: · Host or participate in a holiday good drive in your community, fill a gap in services, or solve an immediate need in your community. · Fundraise for your organization or another organization, take the time to amplify historically under-funded organizations. · Spend GivingTuesday thanking and celebrating your supporters.
