Zen I will never be. But calmer, more considered and aware of myself and of others, I hope to be. Is meditation the way ahead?

Why Purification is Key Before Meditation Many people are drawn to meditation for calmness and stillness. But as my teacher wisely said, "Meditation is like fertilizer. It magnifies both the good and the bad in you." I learned this the hard way. I used to wonder why life felt so challenging after I began meditating. It turns out, everything, both positive and negative, was being amplified. This is why purification is essential before meditation. It clears the way for true spiritual progress. Purification involves: - Exercise to release stuck energy - Breathing techniques to balance the mind and body - Inner reflection and firm resolutions to let go of negativity Practices like Pranic healing to remove energetic and psychic baggage The field of energy may feel new to many of us, but with proper guidance and a structured system like the Arhatic Yoga system, the journey becomes much smoother. A good mentor accelerates your progress. As my teacher, Master Choa Kuk Sui, beautifully put it: “The Spiritual Path is more complicated than the Amazon. The Guru has already been through the “forest.” Follow the guidance of the Teacher to avoid getting hurt.” #PranicHealing #ArhaticYoga #Meditation #SpiritualAwakening

8 seekers practiced YAJNA LIVE & scores of others practiced at their own time … “Wait what is this post all about?” - I can hear your voice clearly 🫣. It’s about 2 things… 1) This post is to acknowledge the participation to the CLARION CALL given on the eve of WMD ie World Meditation Day (21/12/2024). If you practiced #Meditation on WMD then do comment or dm or WhatsApp me to get a certificate from Shrimath Yoga These ‘self-certified’ Meditators would be invited to the Masterclasses we conduct on various topics related to #IndicWisdom 2) The holy hill Arunachala is an example of ‘self effulgence’ ie that which stands & shines forth on its own without any support. Lighting of lamp atop it is our way to recognise this SELF effulgent nature or the self effulgent nature of the SELF 😇 Despite this stillness & presence the primary (animal) movement seen there is of deers that too at nights when we walk around. Deer 🦌 is also in Shiva’s hand. It symbolises our mind. He is the ultimate witness. Deer stands still only when it’s caught in rain ie only when there is a torrential outpour of #grace on us, would our mind stay still 🧘♂️ By continuous practice, we can tap grace & eventually be undisturbed by the vagaries of the mind, during (or without) Meditation also. Thus, whichever system of Meditation we follow we need to consciously cultivate the ability to be a #Witness. We can say that we are meditating for years but the purpose of Meditation (realize the SELF) would never be fulfilled. Till we develop witness attitude, Meditation may give clarity on what to do in this ephemeral (day to day) life but we may never take a step towards realising who we are. The key 🔑 here is ‘being a witness.’ The question 🙋 then would be ‘who is meditating?’ May you discover THAT. Many Meditation happen to each of us 🧘 🙏🏼 Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu 🙏🏼

Have you ever tried a meditation where you shake your body and dance? Experienced a meditation with music before? Meditation can happen when we are immersed in moving our bodies. Osho developed a series of meditations that involve music and movement because in today’s world many of us find it difficult to sit still and reach the depths of meditation. However, if we are completely present as we shake, dance or sit we can indeed reach a state of being, of is-ness of buddha-hood. These practices help us build resistance to the stresses we have to deal with every day. OSHO Kundalini Meditation is a 60-minute practice with four different stages of 15 minutes each, accompanied by music composed especially for it. Come try this wonderful end of day let go for yourself! 6 weeks of OSHO Kundalini Meditation in-person in Aboyne. Thursdays 18th & 25th July & 1st 8th 15th & 22nd August You are welcome to dip in to as suits, just let me know which ones you are coming along to, and I will set that up for you. Doors open at 5.30 / 6pm, arrive any time after 5.30 for a chat and a cuppa before we start, please come at 6 at the latest if this is your first time. Instructions will be given at 6pm and door locked at 6.25 sharp. Meditation will begin 6.30 sharp and lasts an hour. https://buff.ly/3W032aC #oshomeditation #traumarelease #meditationcoach

🧘♀️ Today is the 1st World Meditation Day. December 21 emphasizes the significance of meditation for mental and physical well-being. ➡️ The UN recognizes its benefits which include- ✔️ Stress reduction ✔️ Improved memory and focus ✔️ Better sleep ✔️ Reduced anxiety and depression Does meditation mean focusing on one object? Meditation does not mean only focus on one object or thought. 👉 As Swami Vivekanand explains, it includes 3 stages- The first stage is concentrating the mind upon one object called Dharana. The other 2 stages are- Dhyana and Samadhi. (I’m not delving deep into it.) 🧘 How to meditate? The process of meditation is different for everyone. But to begin, sit in a posture which allows you to sit comfortably for longer periods and doesn’t cause pressure on your spine. As I’ve discussed the benefits, stages and process of meditation, I wish to know how many of you meditate regularly. 👇 Share in the comment section. If you don’t meditate I encourage you to start it today on the occasion of World Meditation Day. #WorldMeditationDay #WorldMeditationDay2024 #SwamiVivekanand PS- I meditate everyday.

Kundalini Meditation... Kundalini meditation is a practice aimed at awakening dormant energy at the base of the spine, referred to as "Kundalini" (meaning "coiled"). It combines techniques such as deep breathing, mantras, mudras (hand gestures), and physical movements to facilitate this awakening. Practitioners often focus on the third eye chakra and may experience sensations like warmth or tingling during meditation. The practice can enhance concentration, creativity, and the mind-body connection, but may also lead to discomfort if not approached carefully.Regular practice is essential for effective energy release and personal growth.

One of the biggest staples in my life for the past 8+ years has been meditation. It's changed my life in so many ways that I can't even count them all and even with all of that experience (literally thousands of hours) there are still days where it's a struggle. Here are 3 things I still have to remind myself even after meditating for 8+ years: 1️⃣ Be present. The endless to do list. The workout. The coffee. They will all still be there after my meditation. Overthinking about them doesn’t get me to them faster. 2️⃣ Being aware that I’m noticing myself thinking about what I’m thinking about is a win. Without that I would be running unconscious to programs in the background. 3️⃣ It's known as a meditation “practice for a reason”. It’s not about being perfect at meditating and there is no end goal. ✅ Bonus tip - just like going to the gym and becoming “fit”, you don’t just stay “fit” and meditation is no different. You don’t just meditate for a few times and are all of the sudden zen-like. It’s a constant practice to keep up the benefits. Save the next time you find yourself saying “meditation just isn’t for me”.

Stop The Mind!?! No, Just Rest. Some people have heard meditation described as “stopping the mind”. Have you ever tried that? If you have, you probably quickly realized the impossibility of actually “stopping the mind”. Thoughts arise relentlessly and seemingly uncontrollably. So, the word “stopping” is not very useful when it comes our relationship with our mind in meditation practice. I like, instead, my teacher, Lama Tsultrim’s instruction to “just rest”. As we sit for meditation, we go through a gradual process of physical relaxation, dropping as much tension as possible. We use our breath to support this process. We may have an “object of meditation” such as a visualization or focusing on the breath or a mantra. Regardless the focus is gentle, and we use these tools to assist ourselves in “resting” the mind. This may not be easy, initially. However, gradually the practitioner begins to experience the reward of periods of this deep rest. 🤔 Are you a regular with meditation?🧘🏻♂️ 🤔 Or is this something you wish to try but never get round to? 🤔 Or have you tried sitting still to meditate but struggle, because you are flooded with thoughts that keep popping into your head and take you off track? If you've tried to meditate on your own and have found it hard, I have a guided meditation you can try out. It's about 15 minutes long which is a manageable amount of time to switch off from your day and reset yourself. 👉🏽 You can try this practice in the morning, before you go to bed at night, or even as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. If you find yourself having a mid-afternoon slump, this could be a good time to close your eyes and listen to the guided meditation, and come back feeling refreshed.
