Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young women? The Coffee Chat is a monthly support group designed to provide a safe space for young women aged 17-25 to overcome adversity and build resilience. We're depending on community members like you to help us create a nurturing environment where young women can thrive. Here’s how you can get involved: *Become a Mentor: Donate your time and expertise to guide and inspire our participants. Your wisdom could be the key to unlocking their potential. *Sponsor Lunch: Help us provide a comforting meal during our meetings by sponsoring lunch for 15 participants. Your generosity will nourish both body and soul. *Donate Space: If you own a local business, consider sponsoring your space for 2 hours on a Saturday each month. Your venue could become a sanctuary for young women on their journey to growth and healing. Together, we can make a lasting impact. Women are the heart of our communities—leading, inspiring, and driving change every day. At Mi Casa, 75% of our participants are women, and as Colorado’s only Women’s SBA Center, we’re not just talking about support—we’re creating real opportunities for women to achieve financial independence, personal empowerment, and a brighter future for themselves and their families. This is more than a conversation about supporting women; it’s a call to action. Your donation helps women overcome barriers and access the tools they need to thrive. And here’s the exciting part: Donate before December 10th, and your gift will be MATCHED! That’s double the impact and double the opportunities for women to take charge of their futures. This is our moment to invest in women—not just today, but for a brighter tomorrow. Will you join us in making a lasting difference? Donate today and help empower the women who are shaping the future of our communities - https://bit.ly/MCRCMatch #SupportWomen #CommunityPower #MiCasa #Women #GiveBack #Entrepreneurs

#internationalwomensday2024 March 8th 2024 There is not a single reason to be happy today. There are 19 good reasons to get out and shout your heart out. For all of you who are sending flowers to your loved ones, we don’t want these flowers anymore. here's an alternative suggestion. Convert these flowers to an action, that could really make an impact: * deliver a talk at a school at your neighborhood to empower the girls * volunteer to help with HW for kids that need help * donate money to any organization that supports women, from all cultures * think of young women in your community, at work, or within your family. What can you do to help them thrive? #iworkforgm #GMrs_lead

Many of the conversations about #climatefinance at #SIDS4 have affirmed the work of Global Fund for Women. Private investment in poorer countries is limited, the global climate finance mechanisms are largely inaccessible and don't reach the masses, and global financial institutions are not designed to serve these populations. While we continue to demand and work towards system change, we also recognise the urgency of meeting the most vulnerable populations where they are, and providing the resources immediately required to resource their work and reduce their vulnerability. This is our current approach to providing inclusive, just finance for climate action.
By standing with movements, we offer a way to redirect despair and anger into solidarity through action. Research shows that autonomous feminist movements are one of the primary drivers of lasting social change—more powerful than national wealth, progressive political parties, or even the number of women in government. That’s why we fund movements—and as a regular monthly donor, you can provide ongoing support for feminist movements. If you can, join #1Point9Rising with a donation or by signing up for our email list: https://lnkd.in/g2EdJEhU

15 Ways to Cultivate Self-Respect Refrain from seeking undue attention from others, particularly women. Stop pursuing those who do not reciprocate your interest. Practice speaking only when necessary. Address disrespect immediately when encountered. Be mindful not to consume more of others' food than they do of yours. Limit visits to people who do not reciprocate your efforts. Avoid shaking hands while seated. Abstain from engaging in gossip. Think before you speak, as 80% of how you are perceived comes from your words. Always present yourself in the best possible way. Strive for achievement and immerse yourself in your goals. Honor and manage your time effectively. Choose not to remain in a relationship where respect is lacking. Invest in yourself by spending money on your well-being, encouraging others to do the same. Cultivate a sense of generosity by donating a percentage of your wealth to charity annually.

This International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, let's do something specific for change. At The Baytree Centre, we witness the horrific impact of violence on women and girls. We see how support, education, and community can bring transformation. 📸 Our photo captures a Baytree Moment :) Ksenia Gorenstein, our Comms Manager, evaluating with one of the The Baytree Centre's girls the photos they took today. This embodies Baytree's mission of empowering women and girls, building confidence, and providing a safe space for growth. 💡 Why support Baytree? Your investment goes beyond charity—it fires a movement: - Mentoring and coaching for personal progress. - Skills training for independence. - A safe and nurturing place for those in need. This International Day, stand with us against violence and invest in women and girls. Join us in: - Donating to fund life-changing programs. - Partnering with us to share skills and create opportunities. - Volunteering to mentor and empower women. 💬 We can end violence and create a world where every woman and girl thrives. Your support matters. #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #WomenEmpowerment #InvestInWomen #Charity #SocialImpact

So proud of these young women I had the honor of teaching this semester! They created campaigns for Carrie’s Closet, a non-profit organization near and dear to my heart. In honor of our beloved friend and fashionista, Carrie Hamstra, Carrie’s Closet provides boutique-style pop-up shopping experiences for women who are unhoused or experiencing crisis. Loved their insight-inspired campaign concepts: —Insight: Women volunteer and donate so others perceive them as compassionate. Campaign: Be a Compassionista —Insight: Regardless of your economic situation, belonging is essential to survival. Campaign: Find Your Fit —Insight: People donate clothes to absolve themselves for wasteful shopping habits. Campaign: Closet Karma
