Type C Power Delivery Module (Update 1) In this design, the CYPD3176 chip from Infineon has been selected. The board includes two DC power jacks: one for power delivery (up to 20VDC/5A) and another as a safe fallback output (5VDC/900mA) in case the chip fails to negotiate with the PPS (Programmable Power Supply). Additionally, I’ve incorporated a 0.1" GPIO header connected to the RP2350a chip, which will serve as the host MCU. The board also features a JST header for an HMI (such as a Nextion screen) or any other serial device, along with another JST socket for lithium batteries, complete with a built-in charger and monitor. There are two USB ports: one for debugging and another for power delivery. What do you think of this setup? Feedback is welcome!

This is crazy. 1) USB 4 2.0 is one of the most crazy names for USB they could ever invent 2) 240W Power Delivery is sick. Just imagine stupid people using a 5m USB-C wire and try to run 240W Power Deliver on a tiny wire. I hope they made some mechanical / electronic improvements to prevent that. I can't wait for USB 5 8.0 with 2500W PD for your VisionPro 2.0 https://lnkd.in/dHgmd33w
USB4 2.0 Cables Now Available: Up To 80 Gbps & 240W Power Delivery Certified
