Dear Android 💚 Dev , want to make sure your users see your super important notifications, no matter what? This article teaches you how to create critical alerts that can bypass the Do Not Disturb (DND) settings on Android devices. Imagine this: your user is fast asleep (or maybe in a super important meeting), and your app NEEDS to reach them with a critical message. With critical alerts, you can cut through the silence and deliver your message, even if DND is enabled. Here's the gist of it: - Ask your users for permission to override DND. - Set your notification channel to bypass DND. - Check the device's ringer mode and adjust it if needed (to make sure your message is heard loud and clear!). This way, your critical messages will get through, even if your users are trying to get some peace and quiet. Just remember, use this power responsibly – you don't want to be the app that wakes someone up in the middle of the night for something trivial! for more details visit; https://lnkd.in/ems8-gmu

All I want is a physical button on my phone, which when I hold, records a voice note that the OS then processes for async action. “Remind me of X”, “Definition of Y”, “Add to todo” - all these processed notes go into one app, which later I can trigger to act upon. I understand “Hey Siri” tries to do something like this, but a dedicated physical button + async processing is massively better way to interact with an AI-enabled mobile OS because there’s practically no latency of interaction.

Even Apple makes mistakes! Spotted a quirky iOS glitch today – replicated the same app 4 times on my home screen. Steps to reproduce: 1. Add a widget to the home screen. 2. Resize it to 1 tile. 3. Boom! Duplicate icons everywhere! While it’s not particularly useful, finding these hidden bugs is always fun. Goes to show that even the most polished systems can miss edge cases. #BugHunting #SoftwareTesting #TechQuirks #iOSGlitch #TestingMatters #AppleEcosystem #QualityAssurance #TechFun
