Not gonna lie, hard to go back to work but our #swisslathes kept running "lights-out" last 4 days making buckets of 🔫pew-pew parts with only .0001" variation from QC samplings on each of various swiss lathes -- most of which are 20+ years old! We're literally beating Chynuhhh and other "low cost" competitors to give our pew-pew and other customers super low prices yet aviation level quality by using the right combination of automation, excellent tooling (thanks Kennametal and Sumitomo!), more time spent engineering the process, and always making time for regular preventive maintenance. Process engineering & Lean Manufacturing for the win 💪 #swissmachining #manufacturing #engineering #machineshop #defense #aerospace #firearms #automation #lean #leanmanufacturing

Update: some QC samplings showed about .0005" (max) variation on the cutoff lengths but generally those tolerances are +/- .002-.005"ish so we mostly care about tool life and consistency on the parting off process, especially since we are mostly running stainless steels and sometimes hardened alloy steels too. We see a lot of success using Kennametal A4 double sided partoff/grooving inserts (KCU10B grade) which also leverage the KM Micro quick change heads for fast swap out too.

This is certainly not meant as an attack, but this post came across my feed and I couldn't help but notice the substitution of the word "pew-pew" for "Guns" or "Firearms". This is something I have noticed becoming very common lately. If you don't mind me asking, are these words being flagged by linkedin? Is there perhaps something I should be on the lookout for when communicating about these items? I'm hoping to gain a better understanding of this phenomenon and the motivations behind it. HEY... I know that beach! I was down there all last week visiting Mom, and ended up leaving the kids there for an extra week.
