Reflecting on the Power of Opportunity and Legacy 🌟
In 1972, we took a significant step by starting our Dapodi unit, a journey that began thanks to an opportunity provided by Tata Motors. Today, as we continue to grow, we look back with immense gratitude for that opportunity and the million other success stories Tata has created over the years.
The Tatas have been an inspiration to us, embodying values that we strive to emulate in our business: fair practices, transparency, ethics, quality, integrity, patriotism, employee welfare, philanthropy, and humility.
Ratan Tata, in particular, has not only carried forward the incredible legacy of the Tata Group but also enhanced it in ways that go beyond business. One powerful example is how he handled the aftermath of the 26/11 attacks on the Taj. His compassion, humility, and commitment to rebuilding not just the hotel but the trust and morale of everyone affected speaks volumes about what true leadership looks like.
At the core of the Tata legacy is a vision of business that empowers people, builds communities, and leaves a lasting positive impact. We are proud to be a part of that story and inspired to continue our journey, staying true to the values that brought us here.

Yesterday was "World Mental Health Day" and the day before, our dear Ratan Tata, the Son of the Soil, departed. What has mental health got to do with Ratan Tata? When a leader leads with integrity, humility and compassion, with diversity, equity, inclusion running in his DNA, a company flourishes. Ratan Tata was a Parsi and I attended a Parsi school in South Bombay. My school teacher would tell us the story of how the Parsis fled from Iran to India on little boats, reaching a town called Sanjan in Gujarat, seeking refuge. Initially, the king of Gujarat was reluctant, placed a glass full of milk in front of the head of the Parsi community symbolising the glass being full as a metaphor to his kingdom, with no place for refugees. The head carefully added some sugar to the milk and stirred symbolising their integration despite the diversity with the promise of enriching their newly adopted home. The king agreed, laid a set of rules and they became an integral part of India, active in freedom struggle and later building the nation economically and adding to the rich diverse tapestry of the Indian culture. "Ratan" meaning "gem" kept to his name, indeed leading the Tata Group with utmost integrity and social responsibility, a lesson that leaders today, be political or corporate, could learn. And not to forget his words "what a wonderful world it would be if all human beings reciprocated that love and affection". The world would be peaceful and sustainable.

“A pet comes after you seeking nothing but your affection. And what a wonderful world it would be if all human beings reciprocated that love and affection," Ratan Tata told Christabelle Noronha in an interview published in the August 2020 issue of Tata Trusts Horizons magazine.
