Chris Woodman shares the work of Leadenhall & Coaching On Demand. Connection and Collaboration facilitate shared learning amongst human coaches. Carol Braddick though asks how can such human centric coaching communities fare beyond influence of traditional technologies, especially with the ascent of AI? I've long felt that the difference between a coaching practitioner and a coaching professional is the level and proportions of aligned experience, evidence based evaluation, education and coaching maturity. AI cannot make up for human lived experience and intuition of human coaches but it can provide data-driven analytics. When coupled with appropriate education, skills, competencies and enforceable interculturally and contextually sensitive ethical compliance, AI has the capability of advancing the coaching field while amplifying empowerment of coachees, client's, and organisational stakeholders. So if a practitioner wants to become a professional they need to expand, enrich and enhance their evidence base and what they learn from it that can evolve their practice. This can be done without AI through traditional mixed-methods approaches. AI though can decrease the learning curve required to gather that data and draw lessons from it -but only if the data is not biased and the methods are not confined to one nation's culture or limited models of coaching psychology. The approach has to be interculturally and contextually sensitive for it to be truly sensitive to a client's or organisation's true culture. The more unbiased the experience and data gathered from it and the more coherent, congruent and impartial the algorithms, methods and models you apply, the more your practice is a science, and the more science is involved, the less you are a practitioner and the more you are a professional.
