I was talking to a friend the other day and he asked me why I decided to start Sales Crusader. It made me realize that I’ve never really told the origin story before. Read on if you’re interested to know why and how we got started. As a CSO of Leadbright (shoutout to the one and only Martin Borowski!) I was logging a ton of hours each week trying to keep up with the prospecting and outreach needed to fill my sales pipeline. I'd spend hours manually sending connection requests, crafting personalized messages, and trying to book meetings - while also nurturing my existing leads and closing deals. I realized that this constant grind of prospecting was keeping me from doing the parts of my job that I truly loved - building deep relationships with my best-fit customers and delivering an incredible sales experience. I knew there had to be a better way. So I started exploring automation and this new AI ‘thing’ on the block called ChatGPT, tools that could help me be more efficient and effective with my prospecting efforts. After testing out a variety of different options, I landed on what would end up being the first version of what would become Sales Crusader. I had more time to focus on the high-level strategy and meaningful conversations that move the needle.  I had something that was helping me be successful in my role.  The results were incredible - I was able to navigate and amplify myself into more meetings, have deeper discussions with prospects without worrying about a backlog of manual outreach, and grow more meaningful relationships than ever before. When this happened, more business happened. That's when I knew I had the opportunity to help amplify other sales, and executive professionals with the same recipe blend of SaaS, copywriting, and strategy. So I decided to turn my solution into a software and services agency, and Sales Crusader Consulting was born. Most SDRs and sales teams often overlook inbound prospecting because they tend to associate sales prospecting with outbound efforts—cold calling, email outreach, and list building. If your product costs $200, and your sales team closes monthly 15% of those leads, that's: 20% x 500 x 15% x $200 = $3,500/month gained ✅ 2️⃣ Social proof and case studies When your community shares success stories, reviews, and real-world use cases, they’re creating social proof 📣 Your Sales Team can leverage this authentic content to strengthen pitches and reduce objections from potential customers. 📌 Impact of social proof = higher conversion rates 💸 If your Sales Team handles 300 qualified leads/month and community-generated case studies, boost the close rate from 20% to 25%, that's: 300 leads × 5% increase in close rate × $200 deal value = $3,000/month gained ✅ 3️⃣ Referrals that fuel sales A well-nurtured community becomes a referral engine, generating warm leads for your Sales Team that are easier to convert because they already trust you! 📌 Referral Revenue = Average deal value × Referral rate × New customers 💸 If your product/service costs $200, with a 10% referral rate and 50 new customers monthly: $200 × 10% × 50 = $1,000/month gained ✅ 🎁 As a bonus, your community reduces sales friction by: 👉 answering FAQs for prospects 👉 explaining product features 👉 addressing objections before your Sales Team even steps in It’s like having an extension of your Sales Team operating 24/7 🚀 🔑 TL;DR: Your community isn’t just a social gathering—it’s your Sales Team’s secret weapon. "My lead generation efforts are on fire, but we aren't closing any deals." If this applies to you, make sure to ask yourself and/or your team the following three questions: ✋ Do you have a well-defined road map to shepherd your prospect from a qualified lead to a customer? ✋ Do you have a value proposition that differentiates your solution and draws the prospect into a conversation about your product or service? ✋ Have you spent time thinking about the objections people give you about your product or service and then how to address them effectively? The solutions you're looking for are determined by the questions you ask. PS. One way I assist my clients is by conducting a sales assessment. Some clients use the information to implement solutions on their own, while others choose to engage with me to help them with fractional sales solutions for the problems they are trying to solve. Either way, you win because this assessment helps determine what needs to be stopped, started, and continued in your sales efforts.
