📚 Unlocking the Wisdom Within: Why I Keep Every Book 📚 This is part 2 of my "giving back" series. Today, I want to share a little insight into my bookworm tendencies and why I hold onto every book I read. 📖 Here's the thing: every time I revisit a book I've read previously, I derive new and different value. This is because I'm not the same person I was when I last read the book. Read that again. The thing is, I'm always at a different place in my personal or professional life than I was before. I've grown (hopefully). This reinforces my idea that our ability to learn is shaped by our current perspective—the "you" that exists right there, right then, in that moment is not the same "you" that will re-read that book next year, or 5 years down the road! That's the magic of learning and growth. As we evolve, so does our ability to derive knowledge from our experiences - and our interpretation of that knowledge grows with it. So, why keep every book? Because they're not just collections of words on a page—they're portals to new understandings, catalysts for personal growth, and repositories of wisdom waiting to be rediscovered. And the best part? This post isn't even about books. #growth #innovation
🚀 i buy lots of books, but only out of ambition and inspiration to read them. Reality kicks in from a time perspective, and I then rely on the osmosis factor to unconsciously assimilate the information. To date, it's a highly successful strategy. ha.

9moAs a confirmed bookaholic, I read about 100 books a year, and buy plenty more that are set upon my TBR piles. After moving twice in the past 5 years, I realized holding on to all of my books isn't practical. So, I find ways to get others to adopt them, mostly keeping the coffers of little free libraries full. I do save those books that are special to me and I know I will read again and again. But I also want to spread a love of reading, which is why I release them into the wild. Hopefully people get as much joy from them as I did. I think I've given away about 1,000 books over these 5 years. Now, I even go to thrift stores to buy good books, just to put them in little free libraries or pass along to someone I know will read them.
