I help people take control of their career | Career Coach, Facilitator & Speaker | Positive Deviant

The RRC Polytech Inspire Conference is an opportunity for industry and students to network, promote technology and innovation, and be inspired! The conference allows students to gain an understanding of a variety of career paths before graduation and provides industry the opportunity to meet the next generation of talent. At the Work-Integrated Learning and Career Services booth, we used JP Michel's Challenge Cards to INSPIRE students and get them thinking about how they might apply what they are learning in school, to tackle some of the world's biggest challenges. And let me tell you - our booth was busy! Some things I noticed about engaging students this way: 🧠 It got students thinking about career paths in a brand new way ❤ It connected personal values with a sense of purpose 🗣 It equipped students with new language to talk about career interests 💪 It motivated them to learn more about industries, employers, and roles 💥 It broke big questions down into manageable discussion points If you are looking for a fun, engaging, and meaningful way to talk about careers, this is certainly worth a look! #careers #careerdevelopment #jobsearch

Our staff does this at most events where we have a table. Great conversation starter and a colorful attraction.

These cards are part 2 of the guidance I offer high school students. Part 1 is listening to their stories. Their Challenge Choices really add understanding to their career exploration. "The world needs (them)."
