Hot off the presses, The Nature Conservancy has launched its plan for the Norfolk Water Fund, a £30 million portfolio of nature-based solutions to tackle water challenges in the UK's driest county. Alongside partners at the Nature for Water Facility, Norfolk County Council, Water Resources East and Anglian Water Services, this fund will support water security, quality and flood risk management in the agricultural region. https://bit.ly/3UVKkkl And that's not all - The Nature Conservancy in New York announced a partnership with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation to protect >14,600 acres in the Adirondacks and create a groundbreaking freshwater research preserve at Follensby Pond. https://lnkd.in/geFR7yGA The Nature Conservancy in Africa and partners launched the Western Area Peninsula Water Fund (WAPWF) in Sierra Leone, the first water fund in West Africa. https://bit.ly/3uRsd4D In Latin America there are 3 voluntary river areas conservation agreements led by indigenous communities which will protect 1,369 kilometers of freshwater, more than 580 hectares of vegetation.
